Santander/Debenhams store card - dormant account fee!

Santander has changed its Ts and Cs so that if you leave your credit card unused it will charge you £10!

Applies to all their store cards too - eg debenhams!

Cancel if you only opened one for a store discount.

We gave up using ours had difficulty contacting them even Debenhams had trouble.
So better cancel it!

We've not had any letter from Santander. Has anyone received it?

Its hidden in a leaflet in your latest statement. I wondered why they sent me a statement when I hadnt used it in over a year...

Last time I got statement was about 6 months ago. Probably lost in post along with all my other Xmas orders.

The most annoying aspect of the Debenhams card is the way it was sold to me. Deviously!! I was in store and a sales "executive" asked me if I would like a store card with the carrot of 10% discount on purchases. Why not I thought - until the card turned up in the post and was a Santander/Debehhams MC credit card. That's not what I was told I was getting. Now the £10 dormancy has been added I'll cancel. Sure I did it for the discount. Why not?
