SAVE ££££ MONEY ON PETROL/DIESEL READ ON

In Apr 08, for a sample postcode the average price within a 10 mile radius was 111p, the highest price was 116.9p and the cheapest price 106.9p. These small percentage savings add up to serious cash over a year, for heavier drivers it'll be £100s.

This could save you loads!!!

Does this really save you any money when you've spent all the time doing the research and then driving to the garage which may be out of your way?
#2
sorry, im going to have to vote this cold because you have to sign up to see the results which will probably give you lots of spam just for one station name.

I to am registered with this site, i have never received any spam either. Although sometimes the prices are a penny out on the actual price which just shows how much petrol is changing price on a daily basis:x
#5
no spam, i get an email every week showing me the cheapest place, only downfall is that some stations are not present. but then again if your travelling an extra mile just to get a few pence cheaper not sure if its worth it!!
Best advice save money and get on yer bike!! im sure many could, its amazing to see people drive to work when they live about 500 yards away!!

I've been with them for ages. No spam and no weekly email either. 1p would not be worth a 3 mile journey for an average 50 litre tank full. Depends how much saving to be made locally. Worth a look surely? I've just checked and there is 4p difference within 5 miles of me for diesel. Heat added as it can save a bit and that is what the site is for.

This is a brilliant site. I have used it for months and it has helped me no end.
#8
Sorry, forgot to say Ihave never had any SPAM from them!!

have voted hot,
many thanks for this posting

I regularly travel from Brighton to Northampton to pick up my children, so use it to check where to stop off on the way for diesel. Just get one email weekly from them (at my request)
#11
No spam here either, prices change daily and, unfortunately (as it makes us even MORE dependant on them), the supermarkets are the most stable and cheapest usually in my area . . . . . .
#12
just bang cooking oil in with your diesel. Worked for me.
#13
sorry but this is hot.... its rare i vote items hot. what a great tool! why not check for your home address and work address and you can save a fortune. (only use bp ultimate but this will save the missus some money on all the travelling she does)

Damn right, veggie oil 70% to 30% diesel. Works for me! Check it out first though, only works well on older (sub 1999) diesels. No HDI etc. Saves me a bomb on the Toyota Estima!

This site has been going for ages, signed up about a year ago, still cracking deal to noone who knows about it.

Voted hot, no rep though.

Very old site, surprised anyone hasn't heard of it yet. No they don't send you spam but around here all prices are 116.9-117.9 so not really worth checking for me.
#18
Voted hot - useful site.

This type of website is a great idea. Back in the UK for a week to pick up all my HUKD bargains to ship back to CZ, so done 1200 miles since Sunday, another 1200 miles starting tomorrow (really should go to bed). Cheapest ive seen for Derv was 123.9 at ASDA Aintree and dearest was 132.9 BP Dover A20. So, one extreme to the other means 9p per litre, 50 litres in my tank means OVER 1 GALLON EXTRA FOR FREE per tank. Or as i prefer to look at it an extra 63 miles. There are similar websites for France, Belgium and Germany that i know of. Still annoyed that DERV is still a good 20% cheaper over the channel. Still, i`ll be filling up there tomorrow.

I've just started running mine on veggie oil mix but can't find cheap veggie oil anywhere near me. Where are you getting yours? I tried Costco and the manager told me they make only 4p profit on a 20 litre container.

Been using them for about a year - no spam so far - just a very useful email every week (which does tend to miss the very cheapest petrol station locally, but at least gives me something to compare against) - very handy, especially in the current climate.

Spot on, i`d go for 50/50 myself, but again only on older diesels without a high compression injector system. And certainly not on any vehicle you couldnt afford to repair should something go wrong.

I've been registered wirh this site 4 ages and haven't had any spam at all, and u can choose how frequent u want e-mailing. It's gud 4 me as there's a number of petrol stations close by and on my way into town, so I can c which to fill u in on my way! Pennies make pounds!!! :-D

The evening star in Ipswich give a list every friday with the average prices plus the cheapest and most expensive for diesel and unleaded. Worth checking that out - don't have to sign up to anything and you can sneak a quick look in the newsagents so doesn't cost anything either!

easiest way to save a lot of people forget...

INFLATE YOUR TYRES TO THE CORRECT LEVEL!

old news....... not hot. everyone and his dog has known about this site for years.
sites ok, but same garage is always the cheapest, so you only need to use it once in my area.
why not post another xbox 360 arcade package for £159.99 ;)

lol there is always one! What is wrong with some of you people! lol

Too few people "shop" for Petrol, buyers can vote with their wallets and the retailers will soon react by sorting thier prices out!

HOT HOT HOT! : )

Unless someone uses a 'Spend £50 at supermarket and get Xp off' voucher, the cheapest way is to get an ASDA card which gives 2p off per litre and fill up using that card at your local ASDA (if you are fortunate enough to have one reasonably close by).

I think that for most people that's the est offer out there.

this site has been posted over and over and over...lol
i get my petrol at the station i pass everyday. I'm not going to drive miles to find somewhere cheaper as it wouldn't make me a saving. prob only good if you have a mega big engine.

Yeah...you see...what you have done there is contradict yourself! :whistling: The site is old news....but then you take the p*ss out of all the same old offers on here.

Yes, these sites have been around a while, but they dont get that much exposure so nothing wrong with a posting on here (IMHO).

Happy Petrol Guzzling! :-D

I use this site and it is great.
You dont get any spam form them at all.
Definately helps to get he best price and its all in your area so dont have to drive miles out, but you can see what is cheaper a bit further out if you are pasing through etc

Give it a try!

waitrose has been the cheapest for a while now, always use this site though, need to take into account of clubcard points aswell with tescos!! or nectar points with sainsburys & bp - generally expensive.

Have you used the site and got spammed, or are you just speculating? Most other people seem to have had s better experience with this site. If you've had problems I would like to know so I can decide if I should use them or not. Thanks.

fine site, news to me...thanks!

My mate does this but be careful, its illegal and you can smell a car doing this a mile off (well you could his old citroen!)

I worked out a little while ago that if I drove more than 3 miles out of my way to a petrol station to get petrol, it wasn't worth doing. If you have a 45 litre tank and fill up from empty @ 115p / litre it would cost you £51.75. If you drove to another petrol station which was a penny cheaper, it would cost you £51.30 to fill up, a saving of of 45p. Most cars cost about 10 - 20p a mile in petrol. Assuming it does 15p a mile, that would mean that the petrol station would have to be less than 3 miles away to make any saving at all.

However, should you find the petrol / diesel be more than a penny cheaper, then it might be economical to drive more than 3 miles away. Personally, I follow the ways of Formula 1 drivers. By that I don't mean I drive my car like it was stolen, I only fill up 10 litres a time and keep my car nice and light. I worked out that that saves me an extra 1mpg :-D

The fact that pitsapatsa has a 4star reputation is certainly odd.

A person that is so negative about one of the best website I think for motorist. If he/she actually used the website and THEN comment this person's reputation might be intact.

I think its a great site for comparing prices as they do vary quite a lot even within a small distance. And never had any spam mail from it.
