Save money on Pictures at theme parks...

Just a funny one...

When you come off a ride at a theme park you can see the TV screens showing you your petrified face on a ride. You have to pay a minimum of £5 however so it's a bit of a rip off. But I was out yesterday at Alton Towers and every time I came off a ride I took a photo of the screen using my camera, came home, cropped it and played with the colours and now have some great ride photos! For free!

No offence but that is a really bad tip.

Also, would you not be breaking some kind of copyright law?

I am sure that it will say in their T&C that by entering the park you are agreeing to have your pictures taken on rides ect.

Not trying to cause offense, it's just worked really well for me! I don't have a problem with them taking photos of me, but if they're not letting ME take photos of me then I would have a problem!

Have fun with it!

It came out really well although I did have to crop the small number out of the corner which you needed to order them. The photos are on my wifes computer, but I can try and post them on Tuesday when I am at it next.. They look great though, you really wouldn't know much difference.

I was a bit cheeky, but I think £5 for a poorly printed photo is a bit cheeky as well. The staff didn't care at all, one guy wanted to see the camera after to see how well it came out!

my daughter always does it! its a good idea!!

Funny - it costs enough to get in and then they expect a fiver per picture.
Well done x

Ah yes, forgot to add, you need a good camera!

Yeh on some photo web sites you just drag the picture you want onto your desktop and hey presto. I have done that loads of times - saved a fortune.

This is technically not permitted by Picsolve, who run the on-ride photos at Alton Towers, as they say it breaks the data protection act since you could be taking photos of anyone on the ride (children for example)

But does beat paying the £6 they charge!
