Hi
O.K so where sort of short of money just after xmas so wanna save a little bit of £££!.

At the minute, we have a sky+ package where we get movies, sports and kids channels, with a lot more added in for free. but this is coming to over £50 a month!. We are also considering upgrading to HD for the sports channels only. is there any way to keep everything we have, but save mabye £10 p/m or so? 1 way i heard which could work is to phone sky, threating to cancel, but because they dont want to lose you, they offer you a better deal. anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks

Our other dillema is saving money off the internet p/m. We are currently with orange, which charge £22 p/m. now apparetly we can get a deal from sky where we can get it for £12.50 p/m. so sounds good.

Is there any way to combine the sky tv and broadband package so we get it cheaper?

Thanks!

You can certainly save money on your broadband. Sky will give you unlimited bb for £12.50 per month, discounted to £7.50 per month if you have one of their talk packages (free for evening/weekend package). The downside of taking bb from sky is that it ties you in for the tv for another 12mths as you can't have their bb without a tv subscription

Incorrect, it was changed last year so you can get BB without tv but it costs and extra £5 a month, and theres nothing stopping you say 6 months in cancelling tv and then all you pay is the extra £5.

£72.50 per month, seems really steep to me. We get all same as you are getting for £40pm via Virgin includes TV, landline and internet. We also get x2 good mobiles and package for extra £10 per month.

Negotiate as much as you can, all from one provider.....seems to be the most cost effective in monthly outgoings

Phone up to cancel btw, they basically offer people 6 months half price and no tie in contract if your contract has ended, that way I get all channels minus sports, 20 meg unlimited BB for £32 a month.
