The user hasn't been online for 3 weeks 4 days, maybe not well? had an accident? hospital bound? Have you tried ringing the user up?
#3
you cant open a dispute if you buy anything on this site can you ?????? even if its a paypal gift or purchase
#4
Well you have his contact details (forum rules) so call him and ask for your money back stating you will take it to small claims court if he doesn't. :)

To be fair though, if you had scammed a load of fellow forum members out of a lot of money, you wouldnt log onto the forum would you??

Youre assuming he's put the correct details in when he registered??

What happened when you gave him a call on the verified phone number you obtained?

Think GAVINLEWISHUKD probably means if youy look in the trading rules it says 'Verified landline telephone number - make a CALL to check out the area code and number are correct!'... so you didn't check the number?

I am sorry for you, have you reported this to the police, or maybe take things into your own hands with a couple of beefy mates.
I have sold an iphone on here etc never had a bad experience, maybe in the future you should do a bank transfer as the money is alot more traceable, there are enough problems with Paypal as it is!
Did you not phone him on a landline?

He can be traced via paypal. They can give his full bank account to the police who can then obtain his details from the bank. I have arrested loads of these scammers. Its easy pickings. The only difficult bit is getting paypal and the bank to disclose his info, if we are succesful in getting this, the rest is easy.
Contact your local police with all details of the transaction and contact attempts. Also if you have details of anyone else that has been scammed let them know

hes scammed me too for a game by the looks of it.

I bought from a seller last year and got her home phone number - called it and had a brief 30 second chat. Goods never arrived - same with others. After a short while, I printed off the FS page and went to my local police station as by then her landline was unobtainable. I think I was very lucky as the officer I spoke to faxed all info down to her area - then a police officer went to her address. Turned out she had moved - they got her new address and went there. Next day we all got a refund.

I honestly think we wouldnt have got a refund if police didnt find her as she would still have had internet access etc and saw mod messages. At first she didnt want to exchange details and I told her I wouldnt buy from her!!! She certainly didnt let on she was about to move. So yes, its definitely worth a visit to your local police station

Got to love all these people saying it's the ops fault for not following the rules .... Come on, how many people have bought something on here and haven't obtained a phone number and called it? .... I'd say most sales.... I've sold loads of things on here and haven't once been called

I'm sure most of these people preaching have done the same

OP sorry to hear you have been scammed from this Low-Lifer.
Buying on-line is always going to be risky & Face to Face cash on collection is in truth the only way to be 100% safe if buying on any Forum.Paying as Gift does not cover you on paypal but also paying as Goods & paying the paypal fee I'm afraid also would not have covered you with them.

We all live & learn & hopefully you will not get scammed again.

Forget about the silly comments like "Only yourself to blame" etc etc as these comments don't count to most of us.

Face to face isn't 100% safe either; when they pull out their baseball bat....

I know you know the OP knows.....So what is the point of that Remark ?

You can read mine, and the OP's minds. Wow.
Do you know that there has been members that have been scammed more than once?

The OP seems to have worked it out as his Opening Post reads

NEVER do this mistake guys

DO NOT DEAL WITH! Con seller, Fake Number, Fake Address. No contact after sale. No Item received. Have received messages from other HUKD members asking if I have any information has they have also been conned. KEEP AWAY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

So I don't see the Remark as helping someone out.
As for being a mind reader,I'm not & never claimed I was..........I just read the guys Opening Post & that told it's own story that he has learned from it.
