At last, scan.co.uk has finally seen the light and improved their rediculous postage charges for us non Mainland folk.
This time last year they wanted some £30 to delever a PSU to me.
Today, it is around £10
I enquired if this would affect the free delivery promo by joining the AVForums site and posting (10 posts?), this is their reply:
"Even though the delivery charges to Northern Ireland have decreased, the delivery is still a premium service and therefore not entirely included in the free delivery offer.
However we only charge the difference between the UK carriage charge and the total carriage charge to your address.
The charge for your intended order would therefore only be £ 3.59 + VAT."
Sample order was 1 x PSU 4 x Harddrive 4 x fans, so around £5 postage fee, most excellent.http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/6405/scanw.gif
This is good news, as I have been stuck using crappy overclockers.co.uk becuase they charged £10 postage.
Also please note, some of you oldtimer scan.co.uk users may already get totally free postage for non mainland addresses, but this is no longer available for new customers and is the next best thing.
I will update this with exact charges when I order in the next day or so :)http://www.scan.co.uk/
