Our mother hated us and so never purchased the pics from the school or burnt the ones we did have. I have no record of a youthful me and have recently had a desire to get a glimpse of the more innocent and less cynical me.

I have emailed the school and await a reply.

Do you lot have any suggestions?

Facebook - all of the contacts of your year - ther is bound to be somebody who has digital copies and so on..... Moreover, they are robably on their Profile as well - look under the school page too, as there are often picures ther as well.

As far as I know, the schools don't keep copies of any of the photo's. Pretty much the only way forward for you would be Friends Reunited. Go on there and see if you can spot any of your old classmates. Unfortunately, you'll probably have to meet up with them, but at least you'll have a link to the old photo's.

In my case, I have no photo's because we were skint and couldn't afford them!!

Friends Reunited. Look up your school. They have a photo page. Good luck

Your school may have an 'Old Pupils/Boys Association' - maybe on-line with pics there? Wouldn't be just you - more like group pics.

No relative e.g. gran, that may have had one or some of you at the time??

No living relatives aprt from my brother and sister and they of course are in the same boat.

Mother was a violent alcoholic who blamed us for all of her downfalls and inability to get on in life; we held her back. When she was trashed would burn certificates, pictures and photographs that related to us. Didn't seem that important at the time but now as i get older would like some insight into mini me.

How dreadful; I guess now feel that you're ready to face the scars.:friends:

Are you still in touch with anyone from school days.
The PTA or whatever it might be called now, might have an archive.

I have written to the school to find out if they have archived any group photos; perhaps they will have contact details of the photographer who was used.
