I have my uniform from M&S, Sainsbury and Adams.

We have some school uniform shops round our way - but they are really expensive

I used to get talior made stuff when I was @ school.

there were also shops that did the logo of my school and others near by, were children brought them from

I usually buy from Adams but they just didn't seem to have the selection this year.

Ended up buying from Asda, the material seems really good (the teflon one) and they are a nice fit

My sons tops all have logos so had to buy from uniform shop £££'s

i bought my son's from tesco, they had 3 4 2 and double vouchers so an absolute steal.

I bought from M&S last year and was really disappointed with the quality (they fell apart by October holidays).

No, but I think it was only £5 for size 7-8 grey dresses and £4 for trousers :)
Got their shoes in Clarks as they seem to last well

I bought M&S in feb when we moved as they were the only place I could get stuff mid year, I ended up having to replace it all before the summer hols so he did not look like a tramp at school!
Have 2 to buy for this year, will probably go Sainsburys again.

thats 2 saying m&s are no good hmmmm i might look elsewhere

Playing truant is un-cool. It also explains why your spelling is so poor.

both my youngest are in age 15-16 sizes so I cant get the cheapy ones from supermarkets. Just bought them some trousers from M&S £9.50 a pair and good quality too.
Blazer, jumper, polos and full sports kit including socks has to come from a specialist shop......at a hell of a cost!
#17
asda are doing 100 day guarantee on uniforms - might be worth it especially for the younger kids

http://www.classicfm.co.uk/on-air/news-and-weather/business/asda-sells-100-day-guarantee-school-uniform/i bought shirts from m& s 3-4-2 -few weeks ago - - crease guard or something - £15 + quidco:thumbsup:

Have to get the blazer, PE t-shirt, jumper and blouses from a school uniform shop

I have found SAinsbury to be best value for money so far with my 6 year old boy.

M&S usually come up much smaller in the tops than they should do - and my boy is little for his age

Sainsburys stuff looked good, I agree - I would have bought from there except the dresses were too wide for my daughter

Got mine from asda on line as couldn't find burgundy jumpers anywhere else but will get a few uniform ones with logo from cliffs uniform shop ( 2nd mortgage prices for poor quality)
#22
got 2 kids at senior school, john lewis is only place i can get their sweatshirts from, £17 each, how are people meant to afford that

My DD's school shirts were broad grey and white stripes at £16 each - major rip off as her brother (same school) is in plain white so for him 3 for a tenner is the norm.. Drove me mad - but she's a prefect this year so has gone into white - woo hoo!!!!!

Managed to get skirts 3 weeks ago in Next Clearance (age 15) for £3 each - double woo-hoo!!!!!!!. It's funny as round here they never have big sizes in store so trying on is a pain (girls at 15 can be an odd mix of size/shape I find, neither adult or child fitting) and wouldn't want to order online for that reason but we bought in clearance , ran down to BHS to try on there in case return needed and all was, fortunately, fine!!

Shoes came from TJ Hughes on Sunday , low heel but not flat , sort of ballet style with a buttoned strap across (called "Antic" by Marcus Tozzi) and they had them in the whole range of European sizes 36,37,38, so even in-between UK half sizes!! Mint !! (And reduced to a tenner!!!). PE kit is gonna have to last another year as it's basically only for just over 2 terms and costs a fortune as all school logo'd with initials on the outside.

I'm a fan of uniform (dreading sixth form and keeping up with fashion changes) but it can be soooooo expensive, even in state schools. If you ever go into the school uniform shops and look at what it costs those in private education......................... - ouch!!!!

thank you all, i agree big sizes are harder to get, as bitsey has, last year my eldest's came from m&s ...will start my search today i think
