science! God/religion in my opinion is a hoax, scares people into believing things that clearly aren't true

mostly aimed at Christianity!
#5

i respect others views, but when part of your religion is to preach and convert non-believers it annoys the hell out of me! i dont want to hear about their mumbo jumbo. if they are happy then i wish them all the best! But i hate it when they stand outside my work and FORCE us to listen!

If religion gives comfort to someone, who am I to judge?
I neither believe or disbelieve in God, there is no evidence either way to say that there is or there isnt.
Clive Cussler rights good books and Paul Daniels does good magic tricks. But I would never pray to the church of Paul
Science is evidenced, enough said
I would love to believe that there is something after death though

Its up to the individual to come to their own conclusions, its not up to anyone else to convince them

Personally I believe in science

i agree, maybe that is god, the very first 'thing' whatever it may be had to be CREATED from something...unless you accept the concept of god... which has powers/properties beyond the comprehension of 'science' as we know it.

your mum had sexual intercourse with your dad (hopefully) , sperm was released from him which fertilsed your mums egg which was travelling down her fallopian tubes etc etc

your mum may have cried out Oh God , Oh God.......but I doubt he/she was there at the time

I'm more interested in how we're going to be wiped out of existence, it will happen one day I only wish I could be a spectator.

... well personally i like to hear what others have to say and then make my own conclusions...i listen to all opinions... not just make up conclusions based on only my thoughts... which is why i asked what i did...since i'm willing to listen always...it is an interesting debate...

I've been a proper atheist for about a decade , and decided it would be good to investigate arguments from both sides as to why we should or shouldn't believe in a higher power.

I soon discovered that there aren't actually any arguments for believing in a deity. None of them hold any weight, and the majority of the time you end up with argumentum ad ignorantiam.

I then discovered that not only is it silly, it's actually dangerous. It would be fine if everyone had their own personal thoughts but it manifests itself in the real world
#38
If god created the universe then how can something as small as man hope to comprehend him?

On the other hand, the current theory on the big bang does away with any outside influence. . .
#39
Unfortunately its not usually about free opinion,Most children are "Programmed " about religion at such an early age that free will has no part in it,
