how are you conecting it? using decent quality leads?

What TV is it? Could depends on the response time on the LCD panel (But not sure if would cause tearing?) or a Sky fault.

iirc i read somewhere (digitalspy) i think, that theres a known compatibility between some sky boxes and samsung lcd tvs. pop over there and search. i think you'll find it

just did some searching and yep it was on digitalspy. there's a known compatibility problem between samsung lcd tvs and some sky boxes (thomson). samsung say its the thomson and sky say its the samsung. but sky will replace a thomson box for another make apparently their enginees are instructed not to fit thomson boxes for people with samsung lcds hth

our sky box is made by amstrad

because amstrad (or amshite) as most people call them, have a terrible reputation for problems . i know mine's an amstrad as well :)
