If you aren't familiar with the legendary Seasick Steve I would reccomend watching the documentary "Bringing It All Back Home" available on BBC Iplayer currently (BBC Four).
Basically the guy is a Blues Guitarist who was a hobo for quite a few years until he had the opportunity to make a record and then went global.
He plays with passion and honesty and in my opinion is a rare commodity in the music of today.
You don't particularly have to be into Blues to appreciate his rags to riches story but just to accept the poeticness of his triumph.

I will put a couple of links in the 1st post but also search on youtube. Hope you enjoy.

Excellent, glad you like. I just think it's an incredible story. And the way he can make music with a battered old guitar with only 3 strings is amazing!

You must have seen his famous 3 string guitar in the flesh then? Hopefully he'll be playing Leeds again this year.

Yeah - but you want to see the One string Diddly Bow - made for him by 'Super Chicken'

The sounds he gets out of that are awesome. I went to see him live in Edinburgh in November. One of the best gigs I have been at. Simple honest music and the sounds he gets out of his guitars are superb. 2 full hours of great blues.

A true story of rags to riches - good luck to him.

BTW if anyone is interested HMV were doing all 3 of his albums for a fiver each recently.
