Those silicon tubes that are only half used, I tend to get an earbud, cut it on one side and push that into the nozzle all the way until the wool is covering the nozlle as well.

I'm still laughing.
I absolutely guarantee it won't be the last either...
If your drain pipe gets blocked and you have tried hard to ublock it, then can I suggest you use the cleaning rods but also get your garden hose pipe and attach that to the rod with some black tape.
Push it in as far as it will go and let let the water flow, this will give it a very good clean.

Don't worry you're not the only one......:D
If you do have paint with bits in then stretch some stocking or tights over a clean container and pour the paint into it and the stocking or tights will let the paint pass through and catch all of the bits.
If using a roller again the next day then put it inside a plastic bag and wrap it tightly around the handle. This will prevent the paint drying on the roller and avoid the need to wash it out at the end of each day.
Wrap it in a plastic shopping bag or one of those cheap freezer bags you buy on a roll and put the thing in a fridge .Will last for ages and never dry out .
I came home to my ex straining as he tried to hold a double door kitchen cupboard on the wall whilst holding a drill and the screws. We had bought the cabinet second hand so it was already assembled with doors.
I gently explained that he only had to hold the cabinet up then use a pencil to mark the holes where to drill.
I've never forgotten the look on his face as the penny dropped.
