thiefs don't go easy on a lock because its on a pushbike :whistling:
they make the only chains that will protect your bike from bolt cutters
when you decide on a different chain/lock look on youtube to see how fast they break them, don't think any last more than a min and most go in a few seconds including gold standard

but at least if its approved by their insurance he can claim if it was to happen.

personally i'd rather keep the bike in the first place

it clearly is an expensive bike, thus so would I. however if the op does not have that sort of money for a lock or simply not suitable then the next best thing is to attempt to deter as many people as possible.
I knew a bike thief once and he told me to go buy a new lock, the bike was inexpensive anyway, but he went outside and within 20secs had my combination lock unlocked without breaking it.
I had a decent bike nicked before due to bolt croppers as well before!

Then again I've lost the keys to my bike whilst it was locked up at a train station and had to bolt cropper them myself!

Yeap, thief will be stuck if they haven't got a pen on them to pick it with :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Wraping a ribbon round the bike would offer more security

OP I know you said max £80 but its only £20 more for the almax one
How much is the bike and your peace of mind worth ?

Nah thats not the same pal.

The new New York locks are known as one of the best in independence tests.
