SeeFilmFirst Website Idea

Hi guys,

I have an idea for a website. It would list all of the SeeFilmFirst (and other similar schemes) codes. Each code would have its own page with info about the film from IMDB and a list of all the cinemas where the code is for. Next to each cinema in the list could be an "expired" button which users could click.

The sites navigation would be really simple, either select a film from the list (generated from all the films currently available) or select a cinema near you (ie Nottingham ODEON) and it lists all the films which are still available in that cinema.

Obviously it would rely hevily on people submitting codes to the site but it would make it really easy to find cinemas/films still available. Could also do an Alert system so as soon as a film is available in the cinema of your choice it sends you an email about it (possibly restrict this to people who have submitted a code, or HUKD memebers etc).

Whats everyone think? Worth doing?

Sounds like a complicated version of the thread on MSE, also the codes are only once every few days if you are lucky.

why dont you pitch the idea to see film first? maybe they are looking for employees.

Cant see them liking it - I would guess they sell the codes to Tiscali etc, so they can put it on their site/magazine and attract more visitors / readers. Was only an idea - saves having loads of different threads and everybody having to check availability etc.

The thread on MSE is just 1 thread of codes when they come up and no chatter, save yourself some time and forget it.
