Been trying to get on to Wikileaks.org but it's completely down. Wouldn't surprise me if they have been hacked to stop the documents being revealed. Not cool... Read More

Could be down due to an overload of users trying to access the site. Could be a DDoS attack (from an individual/group/government). Could just be down whilst they upload the stuff..

UPDATE: it was a DoS attack, and still is apparently:

"It's the biggest leak since Kanye West's new album! But Wikileaks has bigger problems: They just tweeted "We are currently under a mass distributed denial of service attack." The attack has apparently brought Wikileaks.org down."

Damn, that's so gay.
Hopefully the site will be able to stay up to broadcast the reports.
Seems like the US is trying everything possible to prevent them being released....i wonder why :|

Wake up DK!!!

Although bad news for you as nothing you can really slate the west for this time

Whistle-blowing website Wikileaks has released 250,000 secret messages sent by US embassies which give an insight into current American global concerns.

They include reports of Arab states - including the king of Saudi Arabia - urging the US to attack Iran and end its nuclear weapons programme.

Other concerns include the security of Pakistani nuclear material that could be used to make an atomic weapon.

The widespread use of hacking by the Chinese government is also reported.

Well the site is still accessible, so hopefully they can.

I feel it could be pretty bad for the USA, and Osama probably doesn't want to be blamed for what is primarily George Bush's doing, still, it's no excuse for illegal activity (DoS attacks are illegal, right?).

EDIT: none of that seems too bad, to be honest, not in comparison to the leaked documents of civilian torture and death from before.

Inb4 the expected conspiracy theory.

Hopefully the site never comes back on and we can remain ignorant to the tittle tattle

I feel to see the point of this leak. All it is likely to do is aggrievate tensions between nations. I can understand the desire to release some of the last stuff to highlight the shocking treatment of civilians etc.

But what is this likely to achieve?! Sweet FA apart from a bit of publicity for tif site

Like all countries really. You (Not You personally) would have to be pretty naive to think all countries would not have similar reports info on others.
