Seen SelfishParker.com?

This website popped up on both the Daily Mail and The Sun in last 24 hours. Looks like a bit of fun shaming people who park like ******

What do you deal hunters think? Am interested on the community view as if there is away of saving money this is the site...and so is it good that the selfishparker.com site exists?

is it a bit stupid and weird or good that another blog based site exists to better society (in their opinion)?

Personally I'm all for people who park in disabled bays (without a badge) or ******** on corners being outed.

If she'd had looked the other side perhaps she could have shouted at the person who caused the mess.

I would say they've parked like that so no one dings their Range Rover opening their car door getting in & out. I would probably be the same if i had a decent motor. My Vans pretty old now, but it does pee me off the way some people just don't seem to give a crap. X)

I don't actually see much terrible in my area anymore. Is there a site … I don't actually see much terrible in my area anymore. Is there a site that names/shames people who park in "Parent and Baby/Toddler" bays with either no kids or 16 year old kids? They're my annoyance since I have kids who are 4yr, 2yr and 2mnths and have to wait by the bays as it's impossible to get kids and pushchairs out of the thin bays these days!

Winds me up when there are 50 disabled spaces in a car park, half of them empty, yet some idiot with a blue badge decides they'd rather park in the last of the 2 available mother and toddler spots.

Yeah post them on a website no one will ever look at more than once! Zero repercussions will show 'em!

Edit: thanks for reinforcing my belief that every Masareti and and new Range Rover driver is a complete tool. (edited)

You two, you two - all this talk of 'stereotyping' this, and 'tarring with the same brush' that.
Can't we all just settle our differences and agree that, without a doubt, Audi drivers are the worst for this sort of thing...

Quite a few of these sites around now - obviously facilitated by the growth in dashcams and action cams . Anything that shames Richardheads is OK by me but sadly the idiots still won't believe they are doing anything wrong or mend their ways

    Another site

I think arrogant D**ckh**ds in both the motoring and cycling fraternities should realise that these days their actions are been caught on various cameras and renders them liable to prosecution (if the authorities had the time ) - Sadly this fact will never get through the thick pompous skulls of these pond life until it is too late

Most police forces (excluding Wet Mids and a few others) don't take action.

Nottinghamshire Police is one of those that fail - even had one copper call back to tell me the footage was not of suitable quality....................strange how the only person who had viewed the footage was me. Still waiting for the Professional Standards Directorate, Nottinghamshire Police to contact me regarding my complaints/evidence

Yes, I take my Disabled grandfather who has severe difficulties walking to Leeds General Hospital frequently, and anyone who knows that hospital will know the little turnaround area outside the main entrance has disabled spaces in that area.
Every time we go, all the disabled spaces are occupied, yet only a third are blue badge holders. They are hogged by people too lazy to use the main car park, people who are using them as "waiting spaces" to pick someone up, or taxi drivers.

Oh, and we need another site that names and shames parking spaces that are too narrow (cars are getting wider yet the spaces are still at 1960's sizes.)
And one that names and shames idiots banging other people's car doors - MASSIVE hate of mine!

I have to disagree for 2 reasons.
    1) Look at the vehicle. It's a new expensive RR with it's own license plate. That tells me that the driver probably doesn't want to be too close to another car through fear of someone else scuffing their vehicle.
    2) Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because someone else may have done that doesn't mean it gives the next person the right to do it too. They could have found another spot.

We have someone parking across 2 bays at our Morrisons. I was in there around Christmas and there was a guy complaining about it at the customer service desk (as there were almost no spaces) and the woman there said, 'Oh, that's xyz's car. He parks that way because he doesn't want anyone to scratch his doors with theirs.'

I can not repeat what the guy said without getting banned from this site for this lifetime and the next!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn I should have taken photos of my old house that was on the same street as a primary school. The parents would lose their mind when it came to parking and was finally tackled after a child was run over and the council and police jumped all over the inconsiderate parents.

Er... no it doesn't, before you tar everyone with a newish Range Rover with the same brush.

I deliberately park mine away from everyone else (so i am the opposite to lazy) to protect my car. Yet 2/3 times ive come back and some tit has still parked next to mine, right at the back corner!!
Its become a habit as i am fed up of dings and scratches from people who couldn't give a toss because its "not their property"

Ironic that the majority seem to be more annoyed at people parking over two spaces than those idiots that damage other people's cars in car parks

OK now you're really missing the point. I don't think that having a RR makes someone like that at all. Ridiculous. How did you get to that way of thinking? I have a 66 plate Lexus 4x4 myself so understand why people don't want their cars being dinged.

To be clear, we are talking about the picture in hand where a car has parked like that. We have to presume the person who took the pic saw the RR park that way intentionally. Plus, why couldn't they park in the right bay normally?

As for what happens to you...probably because some people need other cars to guide them into a spot weirdly...but who knows.
How is it ironic though? A 'selfish parker' is a regular occurrence which pee's off most people (apart from the offender). There are lots of FB, insta and twitter pages deidcated to this stuff...so there must be a real gripe to it. Yet none for phantom dingers. Maybe because you can't ever prove it was that car at that time of parking next to you.
