You "found" it.?? Thats classed as theft by finding if you don't hand it in to a police station
#2
Why not try to contact some phone numbers on the phone to try and return to owner?

If by "found" you meant bought, then ebay is a good bet. If you meant "picked up off the street" then try and get it back to the original owner.

I sent it to Apple, so they could have checked but i guess not.. There was a lock, apple undone the lock, no numbers are now on the phone.

If apple wanted it they would of kept it,

I agree... I would hand it in myself, especially as theres not really much you can do with it! Think of the heartbroken person who is missing their prized possession :(

i could do with some parts if your interested in gettin rid of it

I would hand it in to the police station saying where and when you found it - someone is probably absolutely gutted that they have lost it and not everyone has insurance. It's not yours so I don't see why you think you have the right to sell it.

Dont fool yourself mate, if you found something and not handed it in to the police then it is Theft.

Im guessing it was insured, as it got blocked.. i cant look at numbers when they're not there, i know there things can be jailbroken to be unlocked. which make it accessable out of europe,, but i'de rather not the hastle

By looking at your avatar i can see your the kind of person who'd keep it :P

Il buy it.

As everyone else has said if you found it and it isn't yours its called theft contrary to the Theft Act 1968!

But do as you will.

Nah, anyone can block their phone if they lose it - I'd block an uninsured phone, if I can't use it I don't want a pickpocket or anyone else who found it and didn't hand it in to use it. If it can't be used I'd hope that it might encourage the person who has it to hand it into the police so it can find its way back to me.

Not necessarily, they can block it through their operator network... As far as I was aware, insurance only replace the phone, your network blocks the IMEI.

Do you not have a conscience? I couldn't live with myself knowing that someone has lost something of theirs... Well, what goes around comes around (karma and all), so lets hope if you ever lose anything of yours, someone with good within their heart returns it back to you and not keep/sell it like you are attempting to!

I have a conscience, and im guessing the person who paid £50 for a replacement isn't bothered as he has a brand new handset
