Hi Everyone, I've got to send back some bike accessories because they are the wrong size etc, they all total to around £650

All packed up they are just under 14kg, and measures 83.5cm H x 58.5cm W x 40cm D

I've just been quoted by parcels to go £91! (which is madness)

I need for it to be signed for really,

I could send it via the Royal Mail (Standard Parcels + Enhanced Insurance Max £500) and take the risk for £18

Can any suggest any better

Thanks

Thanks guys for all your replies

Does anyone know if interparcels "Interparcel Economy" service is tracked and signed for on delivery?

That's coming out at £26 with Insurance up to £700 etc.

Takes 1-3 days via UPS

Hi there whatever you do please dont use www.supaparcels.co.uk as you think you are covered for loss but in fact they try and do everything to make sure that they do not receive and pay out any claim whatsoever.
I know I bought a electric golf trolley from ebay the person packed it and I employed supaparcels to do the job of collecting and delivering said item and what a job they done they then use DHL who lost the item well someone had stolen it in other words supaparcels will make a claim on your behalf then not pay out and keep the procceeds for themselves they said I never had the parcel double boxed which it was, but the packaging was ok for the makers to send it out and ok for DHL to uplift it and then you are left with nothing, as it is supaparcels that have the contract with DHL they will not entertain you so in a nutshell and it might cost you a little more but go direct with a courier it makes a difference or make sure if the worse senario happens you can afford to lose on it.
Supaparcels are a BIG NO NO in my opinion and would not want you to get fleeced like I did. You get what you pay for believe me I saved only £5 and lost £50 plus the delivery charge.

Please let eveyone and anyone you know about them as they are backstreet business working from a house and not a real courier firm.

can you not split it to 2 smaller packages that go through the lower price bracket? It sometimes works out cheaper

Of course thats sent by UPS, i use them all the time, Never any problems. Customer service is the best you can get. The brown icons are UPS the orange are TNT. rest are listed ie... DHL, FEDEX, CITYLINK..ect. I always use UPS though. Brilliant service all around.

ive always used interparcel and never had a problem until 1 parcel was collected and never scanned at the depot........vanished into thin air!!

trying to get a refund has been an absolute nightmare they saay all will be completed in 30 days ive only just received a cheque and it dissapeared begining of february........ they will not provide any details regarding the investigation and you have to take their word that they are actually doing something..... nearly 100 days to receive a refund is an absolute joke

something to bear in mind

ok , took the plunge and ordered the Interparcel Economy option for £26.50

They are collecting it tomorrow via UPS, however I've just got an email that says "Please leave your parcel open as the driver may wish to verify the contents before it is sealed in front of him"

now i aint being funny ,but it's taken me all morning to pack it all up, is this the norm as it's the first time i've come across this.
