Hi i am currently using firefox uk english version, when i type queries into the address bar it acts as an "im feeling lucky" button on google but the default search engine for this is not same with the google search engine plug in with the suggestions as well. does anybody know how i can edit it to change it to google UK? because everytime i type in tv guide into the address bar it always takes me to the american and also when i search for products via the plugin it gives me a lists of products from american retailers and prices are in $'s. I have tried searching for a solution but as Jenn from the IT crowd rightly said, "if you type google into google it could break the internet"! (well i didnt break it, just came up with too many results advertising firefox and google)

Any help is appreciated

Can't really help as such as I don't use the 'built in' search. I just set as my homepage then when I want to search I hit home and type what I want into the box.
Do you mean the box in the top right?
If so, just click the google symbol and then select "manage search engines". I'm sure you can work it out from there
1. Type in “about:config” in the address bar of firefox.
2. Then type in (or scroll down) “keyword.url” to search for that configuration key.
3. Double click it to edit.
4. If you want the neato “browse by name” search in firefox, as opposed to the default “I’m feeling lucky” search, just modify that preference, by pasting in:

or this for a straight Google search:

Then save that by pressing “Ok”.

Change the .com to whatever you want:

If you install 'toolbars' that changes the default configuration.

You'll never need to use the FF search bar again. (and stop giving them money)

And to finish your FF adventure go here:
