The Germans have been immense ! If they beat Spain tonight, it must be surely one of the most impressive journeys to a world cup final.
#2
Paul the octopus says Spain to win.
#3
Dont really like to say it but they have played well and without fear throughout. Although would prefer Netherlands to win if there is a Germany /Netherlands final
#4
Given the fact that Germany have 'sailed' through most of this tournement whereas Spain have struggled through I find it hard to believe that Spain are favourites for this game.

Spain have got to improve 100% if they are to win it and I don't think they will. Lahm will shackle Villa and if Torress has another stinker I can't see Spain doing it.

My money is on Germany to win.

A lot will depend on Torres and whether he will actually play... Not sure if Fabregas is still injured ?
#7
spain easily on paper, germany easily on form, too close to call for me
#8
Hoping Germany go through if they play as they did against the Argies can only see one winner
#9
#10
@ flp14344 not forgotten mate... will post teams, once announced ;)
#11
germany for me, they have been very impressive, i'd actually like to see them win it now...thought i'd never be saying that
#12
if torres starts, germany will win at a canter. if torres is dropped then spain 2-1.
#13
A couple good games and now Germany have had an "immense tournament"

Serbia argue otherwise.

Germany may have peaked too early (common problem for men), hard to see 3 quality performances in a row. Fair play if they do it though.

Can't believe I even commented in this thread as it isnt the official one. Woops. Schoolboy error.
#14
im going for a germany win, spanish defender to be sent off, and the following all to happen

Bastian Schweinsteiger to score at anytime
Lukas Podolski to score at anytime
Germany beat Spain
Booking Points Over 40.5 - Germany v Spain

If anyone could posts the odds on Germany to qualify (preferably from Betfair) it would be much appreciated.

3.1
#17
^^ 3.1 can't be right to qualify can it. The match odds were only around 2 last night so I would have thought the qualifying odds were a lot less, should that be 1.3?

Woops read your question wrong.

Showing as 2.1 to get to the final. Pretty good I reckon.
#19
Anyone know who takes the penalties for Germany?
banned#20
Back from a day away and it's all changed on here. I don't like it.

Germany going to walk this!!
#21
Mueller will be sorely missed.

Could be a walk for Spain if the German attack doesn't fire - Mertesacker and Friederich are not sound.

klose will step up a level and bag one imo, should be a great game
#23
Come on Torres, time to perform...
#24
Torres out. Pedro in.
#25
Well I predicted 3-2 Holland (how crazy is that?) so tonight I predict 4-2 Germany..
#26
it could have been England if the goal had been given against Germany, oh no it wouldnt as we are bobbins

No but I did sit watching that match last night thinking these two teams are nothing special really and we really should be in the semi's. If we had played to our abilities we wouldn't have looked out of place there last night.

How great would it be tonight to be watching England trying for a place in the final, just like 90.
#28
Podolski FTW :{

Typical English mentality.

We didnt even qualify for Euro 2008. We haven't done well since Euro 96. Setting 1966 as some kind of benchmark that we should be meeting every tournament, we never achieve.

At some point we have to realise that we are a basic team and playing to our full potential as a unit and just wishing we were at the level we used to be. Unless there is a drastic change of talent or combination of players then it will be this way for the forseeable future.
#30
Germans not quite with it yet
#31
It's okay for Spain to have 70 percent possession which is what they has now but as soon as Germany get that ball they bomb forward and create some real chances.

Also did I hear them right when they said that Spain have never got to the world cup semi finals?
#32
Ozil...that's how you take corners.
#33
1-0 Puyol!
#34
people are actually watching it ?, pah.

Spain have only ever came fourth.
