no idea why someone would make a game about this when some people have lost their babies in this way...

just not remotely amusing really.

and in GTA and Saints Row you can kill hookers and police for fun.............

This is shocking - videogames should only let you kill aliens, zombies, nazis, alienzombienazis, pmc soldiers, arab stereotypes, futuristic soldiers, actually any soliders, civilians, bystanders, drug dealers, pimps, prostitutes, eastern block dictators and turtles.

Just saw the game on youtube. Looks quite boring too be honest.

Think a lot of the outrage is a bit over the top to be honest.

Jetta Bernier, executive director of Massachusetts Citizens for Children, said: "I am disheartened that with this new application Apple is encouraging frustrated adults to shake infants, not only to end their crying, but to end their lives.
"There are many effective infant soothing strategies that adults can use to calm their fussy, crying babies. Shaking is not one of them," the Daily Telegraph reported her as saying.

Seriously? An iPhone app is going to encourage people to shake babies to death?

No but it may encourage people to shake their iphones and let go, with said iphone comically slow-mo spinning across the room and smacking the baby on his head, thus rendering said infant unconscious.

Seriously, thats the biggest risk this app poses.

The app is crap, the reaction an embarrassment.

I don't think an iphone app or any other game is going to encourage the majority of people to act out sick fantasies in real life or even to respond out of "frustration" as this woman suggests. However people who work within this field have to be very careful not to encourage anything that might be seem as " the promotion of violence" against the vulnerable.

Personally, I do think the subject of the game is totally tasteless and it does seem to show that apple is producing quantity rather than quality of applications.

how else am I going to learn how to do it properly?

I think I'll wait for Imagine: Back Street Abortion Doctor for the wii instead, aparantly you can use the remote as a virtual coat hanger.

Oh, wtf, all those advances in ragdoll physics, and they just use a couple of red crosses and a static image? I think that's the truely disgusting point here. I wish my X1 had an accelerometer, I'd write a proper version of tis app myself.
