Shall i or shall i not?

I recieved a couple of letters today - but with stamps not franked at postal sorting stage.

I have managed to get them off the envelopes without any problems - but now am wondering whether if i reuse it will the royal mail be able to tell.

Iv been reading some wierd threads where some have stated it is an illegal offence and you could be prosecuted.

Where others have said that an invisible spray is sprayed on all stamps so it can be identified if they are used.

So what do i do - shall i reuse the stamps as i cant be bothered to walk down to the local PO - or shall i re-use them?

Theres all these serious crimes happening around the world and then theres me feeling guilty about re-using a stamp!

I have re-used stamps loads of times in the past, if they are unmarked then why not.

Recycling is saving waste after all.

Pritt Stick works wonders. I have no qualms about reusing the stamps if they are not franked.

Remember the old saying "look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"

After another post on here about postage I found out the large stamps are 41p to buy now! just presumed like most people I think that they where what ever a second class stamp is these days. :?

Probably why they have gone to tamperproof stamps to stop them being used again. Go for it while you can.

Yip - pritt stick them on - if there's no franked marks on them no one will be any the wiser.

Reused stamps manys a time without any problems, shouldn't be a problem if there not franked

y not just buy a new one?

1 - because im a tight ar**
2 - because im lazy and cant be bothered to walk 10 mins to the PO
3 - I want to be rebellious -especially against the RM who have made me fork out a few extra pence this week with the price increase.

TBH i would never use them for an important letter or if i was selling something - the guilt would get to me and i'd be worried that the reciever would be charged to collect.

But iv got two stamps here so what i might do is use them for competitions where you have to send off answers through post. Imaging if i won a car or a house with a re-used stamp!

Then i will definately be in danger - especially from all the people who love the royal family.

listen mate we handle six million items a week and i have seen re used stamps being used . The obvious ones get pulled and surcharged but others go through. If yours are perfect...it's not for me to say is it.

Its not called Her Majesty's Royal Mail for nothing you know!

The Police /Courts take a very strong line with people defrauding and defacing Royal mail items,if i was you i would pack a bag and head for the scottish highlands, lie low for a while :whistling:
