CAZA have been good to me in the last month

I've just bough Vialogy as lack of news has forced the price down to what I consider a good entry point

Rockhopper and Desire Petroleum.

Rockhopper has come good but will still go higher.
Desire is on the verge of flying high.

Not sure I have faith in Desire. Hopefully by the 21st I will be proved wrong

does desire have any production assets to underpin the share price or is it purely based on the hope of a discovery in early November.

Basically based on the hope of discovery.

Rockhopper struck oil with there turn of the rig and shares went from 35p to £4-50. Desire's shares have gone up already from 30p to £1-80 but if they hit oil (which they are likely to do as they are drilling in similar location & geology to Rockhopper) then they will fly.

As always there is a risk but its a calculated one and just thought i would sharethe info.

Who is Vialogy. Why the sudden drop in price??

Thanks for that...I'll watch this one from the sidelines.

They are a software company that has a special technology for producing seismic surveys with great accuracy....they are a very news driven stock, but with each new customer comes a new price hike. They have so much faith in what they do that they don't ask for up front payment, they want a percentage of the discovery.

Have just got into Beowolf (BEM) and Angel Mining (ANGM) alongside the Gulf-Keystone (GKP) shares i already hold. All three should fly in the next month.

BEM - Decent JORC results predicted
ANGM - starting gold pouring soon.
GKP - have loads of life left in the rise, got in at 105, now 145ish but saww 160 2 weeks ago.

Sold RBS and still waiting for the retrace in lloyds.

Baz, whats the dealeo with AEX?
banned#14

people should also look at EOG they are a profitable Minnow and have tiny market cap of just under 11m but they have 2 discoveries under their belt and on stream production and other good assets.

They on the up?

I reccommend people get into BEM sharpish.. they are going to skyrocket when the JORC news hits.

No but hey will be a great growth investment of the next few years...and I like to spread my portfolio over different risk/reword ratios , so don't just look to the short term gains on all of my trades.

Vialogy weren't on the up when I mentioned them last week, but they are now.

I prefer to play mine in months on the short term as i dont have that much cash to be tied up unfortunately, however its gradually building, then i can make some longer term investments

UPDATE....stiill plenty of upside in EOG. Market cap of 20m compare that to DES MK of 300m with no oil to date...See the latest EOG RNS....

UK based exploration and production company Europa Oil & Gas said that the Barchiz-1 exploration well in Romania has reached a final total depth of 1,450m and is being prepared for testing.

Oligocene sandstone reservoirs similar to those seen in the nearby Geamana Field were encountered in the interval between 520m and 580m.

These presented live oil shows and the wireline logs calculate potential oil pay of up to 20m net thickness.

The operator, MND, is recommending two drillstem test intervals: 522.5m - 531m and 548m - 558.5m, Europa said.

Europa managing director Paul Barrett said that the company is encouraged by this result and looks forward to seeing the flow test results in the coming weeks.

#26
what are you looking at short mid and long term prices?
banned#27
I don't know how much oil is in the ground if any...so I can't say. But it isn't an over-hyped share like so many at the moment....the price is underpinned by a small on stream production base which produces 3.5m revenue in the last year.

I'm not going to make some wild guess, there will be enough rampers doing that when it hits the radar of the crowd....start doing some research in the usual places adfvn, iii and the motley fool as some good analysis has been done by more knowledgeable people than me.

Here is a good write-up on pro active investor, it was done in march, but it gives a very good overview of how the company is run and it's prospects.

after reading the article scroll to the bottom of page and hit the news tab as the updates are very encouraging and a good read.

Good luck if you take a punt

Currently got a Significant Sum in Orosur Mining OMI.

Target price from my research is about £2 a share, currently at 74p with lows of 20p. Up 6% today and a good short term investment, with exploration news out monthly.

Barchiz - Oil recovered on DST

The Directors of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc are pleased to announce that
the upper DST on the Barchiz-1 well has recovered crude oil. Due to a failure
of the DST packer to seal, the sample was contaminated with completion brine
and the Operator is planning to re-run the DST with replacement equipment over
the coming days to obtain better fluid and pressure data.

A further announcement will be made following agreement on a forward programme.

Paul Barrett, Managing Director of Europa, said "Oil inflow demonstrates mobile
hydrocarbons in the reservoir. In addition to the oil now recognised in
Barchiz, this result proves the thrustbelt petroleum system on-block and
significantly de-risks the prospectivity of several nearby leads."

price is still good - but seems to be a potenital takeover in the mists as the MM's are forcing the price down today. 4.5 mil buy @ .434

Your only welcome if you can contribute before a price rise.

oh you are so kind :) - its still a good buy - depends on how much you got to invest.

Tower is another good one long term - should see growth in 2011.
banned#34
If it's still a good buy why is your profit in your pocket....surely you should still be holding the share.
