Any recommendations for buying shares in a perticular company?

all depends- how long are u planning to keep the shares - i.e for a few days or a few years?
#14
long term, or until they are back on there feet ;-)

in that case u cant go wrong with marks and spencer now trading rock bottom at 217p- but wait till its under 200p- its a def buy then
also look at dsg - comet/dixons- currently trading at snatch at 36p

Well done for highlighting that point...........

i have ISA shares over the years and havent looked at the values, must be super low now but i am keeping this for several years so not stressing unneceesarily at the moment. besides £ exchange has fallen so even if people started to convert to cash i doubt it makes a big difference if it's in or out of my account.

thats it- normally trade 55p-65p

its a buy at 35p without question

fluctuates between 5p-10p over a week so a good money for a short period

Er yeh, I think I can safely say it did!

I'll spill the beanz.....

Railtrack. And I think its a disgrace the govenment re-nationalised through the back door. (Though I dont disagree it should never have been un-nationalised in the first place!) I got just under £2K back on shares that were once worth £34K.

the key is to focus on the "giants"- less chance going bust- but remember its still a big risk!

another is next- currently its 950p ish its a buy- one time it was trading at £22 a share!

current average trading price is £11-£13 so its a def buy at £9!

a good day trade as its price flucuates between 20p-120p a day!

ive lost money in the US market but as the dollar becomes stronger, if i was to withdraw and convert back to GBP, id have more money than i started out with, even though the share price has gone down.
#34
Anyone MADE money?
#35
You're too young to buy shares anyway arnt you DDTA? :|

I have lost 18p so far with easyjet but have gained £3.15 with Tesco, you really should spread the risk throughout a number of companies in different sectors rather than putting all your eggs in one basket.

Oh and I put £25 into dollars so when the $ strengthens I'll be better off too.
#39
£4,750 down so far this year.

My shares were woth £4+ 18 months ago. Currently 32p
