I have win 7 on both and both are on my wireless home network. How do i share a file from one to the other wirelessly?

When you say they're on your wireless home network, do you mean you've got them both hooked up to your wireless router?

Presuming that's the case, you need to enable sharing on one PC, then the other PC will 'see' the shared drives/folders as a lettered drive itself...

control panel (classic view), network and sharing center

left hand side it says "change advanced sharing settings" change the settings for the "private" profile. Do this on both desktop and laptop.

right click on the folders you want to share, go to properties and click on the sharing tab and configure your settings of who you want to share with there.

i still dont get it. im trying with homegroup but after setting it up on one the othercomp isnt seeing it and just giving me the option of creating another homegroup instead of connecting to an existing one

go to devices and printers to see if it shows there.
