So much that you're on your computer at the same time?

Unless you're waiting for it in HD, in which case - good for you.

Theyve commisioned a series i believe - these 3 episodes are the pilot
Following the critical acclaim that the first episode attracted, BBC executives are reported to be interested in commissioning more stories.

I wish it had been set in the 1800s or something but i suppose costs will rise for sets and it will get compared to the film version

The original Pilot episode was not televised but these three episodes were commissioned anyway.

I would imagine that at the end of next week's installment we will be no nearer to seeing Moriarty so further stories must be planned.

The first episode (last week) I watched with very low expectations & I was very pleasantly surprised & entertained. The casting is growing on me; but I thought the choice for Sherlock was too young for the lead character. However, I have subsequently found that Benedict Cumberbatch is a young-looking 34 years old; so perhaps I was expecting a more "weathered" looking actor. Either way, the second episode did not disappoint this week.

Matt Smith auditioned for Watson & when he was rejected (for being too 'wacky', or 'barmy', I think his portrayal was described) he was cast as The Doctor.

Although i will say the 2nd episode lacked something from the 1st ?

Matt Smith is amazing as the new doc - totally agree. How difficult it was for him as everyone thinking that David Tenant was irreplaceable........but from the first 5 mins of episode one, he had won us over and most of the viewers.................roll on the Christmas special

How was last night's (final, so far) episode for everybody?

It worked for me... but because of the fact it was the third of three episodes the natural conclusion to the end of the story was somewhat expected.

Obviously don't post any "spoilers" in case somebody drops by who has not seen it yet, but I would be interested in your views.

Also, do you think the BBC should leave it at three (for a while), or make some more episodes (immediately)? (I suspect that is why the ending was written as the way it was so either option would be possible).
