Shoes for an important meeting!

Ok, so I have to do a presentation for the parent company of the people I work for. It will be in front of board directors and the CEO so I have to look good! I'm trying to find some new shoes for it but everything is either too frumpy/too high/too low/open toed/not suitable etc! I'm only 22 so don't want to look like a middle aged women!! Do you think the below would be acceptable? They'll be worn with black tights, a tailored dress and suit jacket.

You are young and the ones you have pictured ordinarily would be great . However... as the Presentation seems to be at a pretty Senior Level I would go for something similar but without the wedge.
Just my opinion. Good Luck though...x

Pics when you have decided. I will let you know if they will do the job.

In all honesty, although i think the shoes are lovely,I don't think they are appropriate for the situation described. As someone has already said, choose some without the wedge.

Maybe it's my age,but shoes in this style always remind me of footwear that porn stars and lapdancers wear and as the directors are probably nearer my age than yours they may just think the same!!!

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. They could look tarty if I wore them with the wrong outfit but I think what I'm going to wear is quite conservative... I'm just not sure and can't find anything else I like! Ahhh!

Well, if you're comfortable with them then go for it. I would imagine that the level of Seniority you are presenting to will be more interested in what you are saying than what you are wearing on your feet. Good Luck x

gonna say, go lower still otherwise they are better, (no open foot is the good bit)

not saying it to make you look frumpy or such, im not a completely old twit yet, your outfit you mentioned sounded just fine though (hope the skirt is closer to knees than the other)

then again, the very old ones in the bunch may like it, but they will forget what the presentation is!

I think the first ones are so much better than the second ones. You need to wear something you feel comfortable in and don't want to be wobbling about as you do your presentation. Most women in managerial positions tend to wear shoes like the first ones so go for it.

I just wish I could wear heels like that!!

The problem is, I work in a very male dominated workplace. While it sounds very sexist, I have to dress smart yet half decent looking because at the end of the day, it gets me listened to! I dress very "polished" so I don't want to go in wearing kitten heels as sometimes I think they come across a little frumpy and might look a bit out of place compared to the rest of my outfit. Ahhhh maybe I'll just wear a flat shoe on one foot and a high heel on the other, then they can take their pick as to which they look at!!!

part of the key to dealing with a male workplace is NOT to play thier game, be a cut above

be polished as you said, but flat shoes - way too far, no, just find something a little lower, you are almost there

thats how men get out of the crowd too, dress better than the rest, it gets noticed, management pick you to impress others

get these shoes sorted out quick, so you can practise getting your game face on

It's not covered in paint, it's the reflection of the light 'cos it's patent!!
