Hi people

I ordered something from here the other day, It never arrived, now they send all there items out recorded delivery, so the proof is in the pudding that it hasn't arrived, It was sent out on friday by the way.

Anyway I have been in contact with them all day about getting a replacement, they say they won't send out another one till I send in a lost claims forms. This can't be right can it?

Surely as a consumer once I pay for omething and I have proof that it hasn't arrived, A replacement or a refund should just come naturally. I want a replacemnt by the way not a refund.

Surely they have the problem with royal mail not me!

Anyone have any advice?

They claim their money back through royal mail, they need proof for royal mail (a filled in claim form from the recipient) it stops people from falsely declaring an item as "not received" and helps RM keep track of where deliveries are going missing.
Once they receive the form back, they'll send out a replacement/refund, you don't need to wait for the claim to be approved.

It was sent on friday, they use recorded first class delivery, that's ample time

its only tuesday... give them a break, its barely past what royal mail suggest it takes to be delivered, it could turn up anytime in 14 working days before its classed as lost.

I haven't got a problem with sending in the claims form after they have sorted out the stuff at my end, at this point in time my problem is not with royal mail, it is with where I ordered the item. Shopto. Their obligation should be to sort me out first then try and claim using royal mail

They normally request 3 working days after the item has been dispatched, so you're going to have to wait at least till wednesday.

I don't see what the problem is about filling in a quick form though, as they require the details to be filled out so they can claim back against Royalmail.
Getting the forms filled out is your confirmation that you're stating that any items have been lost but like I said, it's only been 2 working days, so just be a bit more patient. :)

I went through this before and i filled in a form that was emailed to me, printed it off signed it, scanned it then emailed it back.

They issued another copy of the game that day and i recieved it the next day along with the other one about 1wk later!

Thats rubbish by the way, if someone sends something 1st class recorded delivery then that doesnt mean that it could take upto 2 weeks.

I am a postman myself, albeit at a different office.

They normally request 3 working days after the item has been dispatched, so you're going to have to wait at least till wednesday.

I don't see what the problem is about filling in a quick form though, as they require the details to be filled out so they can claim back against Royalmail.
Getting the forms filled out is your confirmation that you're stating that any items have been lost but like I said, it's only been 2 working days, so just be a bit more patient. :)



I don't think it staes working days does it, anyway at this moment I have no access to a printer or a scanner, so to send this form means posting at my expense and time. Again no particular problem with that but that only delays things. I should not have to wait as It's as plain as day I have paid for something and not received it.

Again like I say i'm a postman myself, i know the in's and outs, but as I say my problem Is not with Royal mail, it's with shopto

They say 3 days from despatch then I can get a replacement, well it's been 4 days. There rules also say that if they send out a replacement then the other item turns up I should send on back, they will pay for postage, I haven't got a problem with that.

Everything is easily checked as they send with tracking numbers

I understand that 1st class is not guaranteed next day, But as a walking postman myself I am told everyday that the volume of mail is declining. 4 days should not be a problem at this time of year.

Also I don't live in a hard to get too area so no problems there

I've received recorded packages and the postman didn't require a signiture...sometimes the postman just can't be bothered.

Anyway, seeing as you're a postman yourself, don't you know your own company rules, that royalmail demand nearly 2 weeks before they declare the package as lost?

We ship all games with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. Usually this is very reliable but occasionally parcels get delayed in the the Royal Mail sorting offices. If your delivery has not arrived 72 hours after we shipped it (i.e. 3 days from when you receive your dispatch email) then please contact us to request shipment of another copy.

Please do not contact us any sooner than 72 hours as there is nothing we can do to help until this deadline is reached. Please Note that during December Royal Mail are very busy and next day delivery may not always be possible, please allow 14 days before contacting us.

What kind of business do you think it is? Just send out multiple copies of every order?

Mate, you honestly are making a fool of yourself, so I recommend you stop this rant, as it's been pointed out that they request 3 working days before they themselves declare the package is lost, whereas Royalmail allows 3 weeks.

I had a missing package from Amazon the other week and they told me I had to wait 3 weeks incase it turns up later and I don;t know any other company that declares an item lost before RM does...know your own rules mate since you work for RM yourself.

If it was dispatched on friday thats not a full working day, Sat/Sunday are not working days.
So really its been one working day (monday) and will soon be 2

3 working days AFTER....and if you can count...monday is the first day...and tuesday is the second day....what kind of people are RM hiring these days? :giggle:

Actaully yes I have, i used to work in manchester sorting office, a couple of times I came accross items the same day as they hit the mail centre while I was at work:p

We're aware that sometimes your items may go missing via Royal Mail, which we have no control over. ONLY for UK Orders.

I quoted it to try and make you see sense.

As stated originally: you can REQUEST after 3 working days.

Point 2: It CLEARLY states you can REQUEST one. Not that they will send a replacement, but that you can REQUEST it. Part of that process is filling in the form. Deal with it.

The responses you're receiving are only because you've been rude to everyone who's trying to advice you and you still refuse to understand anything.

I'm sure you can get hold of a printer/scanner via a friend/family or even at an internet cafe if no one else does.
Anyway, all this is irrelevant, as the 3 working days hasn't ellapsed.

Really I haven't been rude to anyone.....Ok I called one person a clown, my bad.
So 2moro when It's been 2 working days can I start another thread, what will be the replies then.
