been to Bath for a day trip last year, wasn't too impressed with it tbh, only thing i found that i liked there was the Bench shop lol. Looking for somewhere either near a beach so can go on a night time walk along the beach or somewhere that hasn't got a big population of people so its kind of secluded for just me and her.

go to Paris for the day?

Amsterdam?

If you really wanna stay within the UK theres any number of places that would be romantic, depending on what you and your lady like xxx

Spend some time googling and consider what she likes/dislikes xxx

if your really think about them two i wouldnt go southend its a ****hole, great yarmouth is a bit better but remember its going to freezing so a walk along the beach might not be great, better off keeping each other warm infront of a fire in a nice cottage ;-)

+1

Southend= a day out for a bunch of teens

Great Yarmouth= a few days by the beach and the pleasure arcades etc, good for a youngish family in terms of blackpool, brighton etc.

Non romantic places definitely lol

Not that the place matters if you're with someone you love xxx

Rye is lovely,

my lil boy and I stayed there in January by ourselves and my ex-husband bought the other kids out to me for a few days, it's near Battle, where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066... lovely town within the city walls and close to the beaches at Camber obviously xxx

what about norfolk?? some nice little quiet villages im sure your be able to find a nice place to stay, can take a romantic boat trip on one of the broads or a walk along the broads. only a short drive to yarmouth so you can visit the beach etc.
you can get the best of both! quiet and not too far from a beach

also wont take long to get to if your in the south
