Most people only ever voice an opinion when they get bad customer service – so balance the books here is my experience of Acer ...
Long story very short....
Bought a refurbished Acer C720 Chromebook from laptopsdirect in May and it had 90 days warranty from the supplier.
Had said Chromebook on holiday last month and the screen failed – suspected backlight failure.
Got home last Wednesday and could not be bothered to call laptopsdirect so decided to chance my arm with an online chat to Acer.
Acer support also suspected the backlight and asked for the serial number, purchase date and retailer. They then emailed me a pre-paid UPS label and asked me to send it in for repair.
Sent the Chromebook off on Thursday morning and it was delivered to Acer’s repair centre on Friday morning.
Had a phone call from Acer this morning and fully expected to get some spiel about how it was not covered by warranty blah blah as they would barely had time to assess it.
But NO! The lady was calling to try and re-arrange the delivery because they had been notified by UPS that the delivery back to me had failed !
So not only had they fixed the faulty LED backlight, but fixed and shipped it back out same day, but then monitored the safe return!
Guess which brand of laptop I will buy next :)
