Firefox is the best, but Chrome is by far the fastest.
So it just depends on whcih one you prefer.
I would just download all the browsers and just give each one a go every so often.

i always use ie but my kids use chrome as its faster
#3
I have both, Always use firefox as well, but once in a while I use Chrome its really good.

anything is better than IE. Its a hackers dream and about 5 years out of date compared to chrome / FF

I use and really like chrome, the wife hates it and uses safari... totally down to personal preference. Give it a whirl, if you don't like it, it's not like it cost you anything.

If you're using firefox you probably won't notice much difference with chrome in terms of speed but I'd still recommend trying it out. If you're using anything else (safari, opera, IE) you'll notice a huge increase in speed with chrome so you should definitely try it out.
#7
I prefer it as It's better than IE. I loathe firefox. I have to use it at work and ruins my day.

Chrome is the best and fastest browser i have used. I would totally recommend upgrading and trying it out.

Best thing is Chrome/Firefox and all browsers are free!
#9
Chrome is a much simpler interface than Firefox/IE/others, i prefer it.

I use chrome all the time, why firefox and Internet explorer seem to think I need 20 add ons running in the background and slowing down my browsing is beyond me. Give chrome ago what's the harm in it. If you don't like it uninstall it, simple.
#11
Do it, I did it from IE 8 and have never looked back.
#12
I changed to chrome about 2 month ago when I got a netbook. For some reason the ie pages didnt always fit the screen properly.
I love chrome and would not go back to ie.
I have not tried firefox though.

Chrome is a no go for me, until they get a permanent bookmark slidebar.

I have it installed, but keep firefox as my main browser.
#14
i use opera mainly, sometimes firefox. i do have chrome but the fact i can't use backspace button to go back a page is a bad thing for me.

there is a bookmark bar at the top (Ctrl + B if its not there), does it have to be the side?

Yes has to be slide and permanently there, hence not using it.

I hate those that you hover the mouse over, then one part pops up, then you hover over the next and that pops up etc.

Mine are all organised in folder, so before you know it the bookmarks are half way across the screen.

I recently had to try firefox because I thought facebook chat was playing up in Chrome. But after 10 mins I was back on Chrome. It is so so so much faster and a pleasure to use. If you dont have more then 12+ main bookmarks the bookmark bar is superb.

Used to use Firefox and LOVED it, but I thought I'd give chrome a try as Google are doing more to merge chrome and Android (primarily Chrome to Phone) and I doubt I'll ever go back now. Love how you can drag a tab off the tabs area to make it have it's own window - so simple yet well done.

thanks for all your views i am now a CHROME user ;)

Totally agree it's a good browser.

But who has that many, I have been using the net for about 14 years now, and have a substantial about of bookmarks over that time.
I don't know why they have not implemented a option to have a permanent bar, Such a simple to add feature, and there are loads of people asking for it.
