Should the police inform your employer

Should the police inform your employer if you are caught taking drugs of abuse out of work???

Do you think this should be done???

As you may have the drugs in your system and it could be a H&S risk at work.

'drugs of abuse'?
#2
I would think so if other people's safety is at risk.
I wouldn't want a crackhead flying a plane taking me on holiday to be honest.
#3
Yeah you should also inform them of anyone who frequents public houses after work too....

Dont be so stupid! People who booze in the evening still have it in their system the next day

Agreed. We are too soft in the UK. No wonder we have so many drug abusers living here.

How many times has that waste of space Pete Doherty avoided Prison? If he'd been treated properly, maybe he would be off drugs and not such a complete waste of space.

He pays taxes, contributes artistically regardless of your taste and I can think of a lot bigger 'wastes of space'.

I'm not sure what is more naive though - the thought that more drug users should be sent to prison or that prison would be a good place for a drug user to be rehabilitated.

Make it legal for drug users to liberate items from the rich then the poor won't resent the rich anymore...........just solved two of F&Fs problems with one sentence. Job done

Granted, not everyone will like his stuff. I'm not a massive fan but he does have a certain 'Byron-esque' quality that some will like.

Anyway, like most of these threads people confuse use and abuse.

OK, I was being friendly. An overdose of their choice would be a far better alternative.

Why are you threatened/offended/bothered by the life choices of people who use drugs?

Are you resentful that people aren't tied to a 9-5 office job, but living a more 'libertine' lifestyle?
[mod]#25
Should your employer inform the police if he knows you are a murderer? Yes. The same goes for any illegal act or activity.

...because of the consequences on others. Also, in the long run it could help the abuser.

I'm not. I respect the Law. It's a shame that you don't.

Resentful wouldn't be the accurate description, more shocked that people would defend such a complete waste of space.

Though hey, its the opposite thing to do, so in steps Filthy.

I don't particularly like Doherty, although he does pay taxes and create art.

Also, his early work with The Libertines was brilliant in my opinion.

As for respecting the law, that is a subject for it's own discussion. Do I occasionally exercise my own judgment in regards to speed limits? yes.

That's just a tiny example of how one might bend some laws.

I see. So why do you fell threatened about speed limits in this country? (Since this seems to be where I came in)

I don't know how much 'work' he does. I know he was playing gigs in Europe recently and heard he got paid a 'large' sum for a private performance.

My comments about the speed limits was that many people exercise judgment in regards to some laws.

I will admit I've maybe exceeded the motorway limit when I've driven at 3am on an empty road because I've used my own judgment. Does that make me a criminal? Probably.

Is it a massive deal? No.

i agree with this... and i think when some people disregard it, its quite possibly due to the bad press that comes with doherty
