Feel very sorry for her family.

I don't know the truth and don't pretend to understand the case BUT I feel really really sorry for the family. They must be totally heartbroken not knowing what really happened on the night that their daughter was killed. May they have peace in their heart and may they get justice one day soon.

Been following the case since the start.

When he was seen on CCTV giving away bags of money, went on wild parties immediately after it happened, visited gay bars, it's hard to think this guy ain't guilty.

he's the Asian OJ.

That's truly sad if he has got away with murder. How cruel that is; a double-blow for the family. All I pray for is that justice is done so the family can have closure and peace.

Guilty as they come full stop.

The evidence against him was more than enough to prove he played a part in this murder.

have you considered a career change....Judge J4GG4 :D
from various media reports over the years i thought the police had loads of evidence (incriminating texts & stuff) but apparently it all boiled down to the (already convicted) witnesses...who initially lied about being involved so their testimony can't be reliable

abit embarrassing for the SA prosecutors spending 4 years to get him in the dock & only 1 case in 20 gets thrown out like this

Agreed, unreliable witnesses really destroyed the case, glad most of them are in jail. Absolute idiots.

Another case in another country I couldn't careless about, when down the road a 15 year old is stabbed to death and the poor are using food banks more and more.

Tower Hamlets?...was there ever a time where there wasn't a stabbing in East London?

Panorama covered this in detail earlier in the year and it really is the most perplexing case. Left feeling there was strong evidence to make a case for both his guilt and innocence. Find this one difficult to call, as opposed to the Pistorius case in which I still can't believe he got off so lightly.

...involving UK citizens where people were paid allegedly to kidnap/murder their bride, pretty dramatic tbh, guess thats why it caught the attention of the public. Tower Hamlets gang violence - SNAFU.

I feel the same. One minute he seems guilty then the next it seems he was wrongly implicated.

It's very sad that the truth will very likely never be known.

My career is irrelevant to my post, this is misc for general debate and not for expert input. But i thank you for considering my input to be of a expert opinion, much appreciated.

As for the evidence,
1. He was seen handing over a package of money to the murderer. (Which indicates he paid the hit man)
2. He has come out gay and admitted to his gay encounters. (Which indicates he forced the marriage with annie to probably get his family off his case. Coming out gay is difficult for anyone)
3. A harmless woman was killed in an apparent mugging (surely the man would of stood his ground to protect his wife and he should of been the one to of been shot.)
4. The murderers admitted dewani paid them to kill her. (Ok we can all say they may be liars but there is no reason to lie about that, they will not get a lighter sentence or their sentence reduced by saying this as they still committed the murder anyway.)

Its natural for any murderer to deny they murdered at the beginning. So if a judge is judging the murderers opinions thereafter based on 'probability of lying' then thats ridiculous. How about the probability of all 4 points above. All 4 probabilities outweigh the probability of the actual murderers input anyway.

But who am i to place my opinion in a misc thread on a shopping forum.

Shame for her family. It all seems dodgy, but who knows.
Hopefully if he did have something to do with it, karma will catch up with him.

This is true, however its amazing how people will judge this case as if they are experts in South African culture, social issues and its law, all from a Western view point.

Oh no!! Now you risk starting a debate on whether RSA is itself part of the 'Western world'. Definitely needs its own thread. :)
