Post more on here or other forums, chat rooms etc, people don't know who you are so no need to worry what they say in return, it will soon transfer from online to real life

The internet was invented by shy people for shy people. Sign up to forums that you have an interest in and get friendly with everyone. There are dozens of websites for dating that you can sign up to, chat with the ladies online until you're comfortable with meeting.

I'm not as shy as I used to be, but that can still quickly change when I'm out of my comfort zone.
I can tell when I'm starting to blush and I quickly lose confidence once I become aware of it.

I used to be shy . I was so bad i found it hard to answer the phone LOLOL . what really helped me was when i did my electronics apprenticeship i had to work in the front shop area as well as in the work shop so i had no choice but to answer the phone/serve . I was cured  . My wife is still amazed as to how i strike up a conversation with anyone and not feel akward these days :) . Worked for me !!!

Have a look at this website, its free and has been developed by a leading Psychiatrist in CBT.

It has a number of modules on confidence building and how to communicate effectively.

Bad times when blushing, I hate it cos I go really hot and then I'm like oh crap I'm getting red and realising it just makes it worse lol.

OP, i am making the assumption that you are male. Sorry if i'm wrong.

If so then best advise is to get in work around plenty females. (not in a creepy way) but they don't half bring you out of your shell. That worked for me.

I used to be really shy and quiet until I went to uni. I think if you put yourself in a situation where you have to talk to people/initiate conversation etc and there's no other choice...you will quickly find it gets a lot easier.

Either that or get really drunk. That's all that uni taught me.
