Silver LCD TVs

I may be in a minority of 1 here but I really dislike the piano black TVs that are everywhere at the moment.

Does anyone know if any of the reputable manufacturers make silver LCD tvs in a reasonable size (say 37 to 42 inch)?

Our John Lewis has a Panasonic display which features a beautiful plasma with an aluminium case but it is not for sale and there where no details of it.

Over to you.

Not at all, I prefer silver, I certainly do not like the glossy black surrounds on the majority of new TV's, so reflective of light, sheer stupidity IMO.

Well not all of us are sheep, not all of us fall for the " fashion " bullship.

Some of us like what we like and ignore the rest.

We have the capacity to make our own decisions, not do as the media tells us.

It's the same when I buy a dress.

No shoes, handbag or tights to go with it.

On-line spending more money to get matching items :x

Happy new year x x

I've moved the plug since i took the photo so there's nothing there now, just need to paint the skirting board.
All my AV equipment is at the opposite side of the room fed into a HDMI switch box and i run a single HDMI cable under the floor before i laid the boards.

do you lay on the floor to watch it?

eh no? i sit on a sofa :?

seems awfully low for a wall mounted tv. Optimum viewing height is just above eye level but each to their own

Cameras, camcorders, laptops etc come in every colour under the sun but TVs are just black. You can get a million variations in specification but none in colour. It is all the more strange since these are large pieces of furniture which dominate your room.

doubt its as cost efficient to make them in varying colours

I know the sony tvs the E series were white and people would like the look of them but then go hmm price tag, well yeah your paying more for the white framed design, thats how people think hmm nah its too expensive so manufacturers just make mainly black ones.

I probably got asked about 3 times if sony made silver tvs when i worked in a sony store, there was no appeal for them and as ive said i think they look kinda cheap and tacky.

Black is a colour that works pretty well on most things

phones, cars etc, there is probs some sort of subconscious psychological issue regarding it also i.e the brain thinks item is more sleek/expensive (as an example not sure if this is true)

ANYWAY gone waaaaay to much into this lol
