Hi :)

I am thinking about getting a sim only contract as i am still happy with my mobile and i was previously with 'Blyk' (the free network) which has now finished.

I probably wouldn't need much more than 100 texts and 100 minutes but i would really like some internet allowance too. I don't really want to spend more than £10-£12 a month as i am going to be a poor student :) lol

If anyone could recommend a good deal i would be really grateful as i have never had a sim only contract before.

Thank you
x

I don't know how much messing about you're willing to do, but I've just got an N97 on an 18 month contract with 600 minutes and 3000 texts for £25 per month. Just sold the phone on eBay for £330 which after fees gave me £305. The contract for 18 months stands me at £450 over the 18 month period, take away £305 leaves £145, divide that over the 18 mths is £8.05 per month.

This offer also gets you £40 Quidco at the moment.

You could then contact Vodaphone and get the internet added (around £5 per mth), bringing the cost to £13 per mth for 600 minutes, 3000 Texts and Internet!!

Here is a link to the Phones4U N97 offer: http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?itemkey=287067

Well I have been looking at the different PAYG deals and so far I can not see a better one than 3 specially if you want internet.

For £10 you get all of the following:
- 300 texts (600 texts if you topup online)
- Free 3 to 3 calls
- 150 MB of internet
- Free SKYPE calls (does not use your MB)
- Free Windows Live MSN (does not use your MB)
- BBC Iplayer works via the 3 Network

and the £10 gives you roughly around 50min anytime any network.

All these lasts for 90 days so even if you use your all your credit on the first day you still have all the benefits for the remaining 90 days.

The only downside is the Coverage which is not that great. In my case the coverage at work is great but at home is rubbish but at home I use wifi on my mobile so can't really complaint with all the benefits.

So if you have decent coverage you should try it.

If anybody can tell me a better PAYG deal with intenet than 3 please let me know.

Also if you topup again before the end of the 90 days you get all the benefits agains queuing up after the 90 days.

Not entirely sure its probably best to contact asandino about it in :http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/472637/t-mobile-pay-as-you-go-10-top-up-ge. He knew more about it than me.

But i think this is the link to it on the website: http://threestore.three.co.uk/payg/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=DSL10PP024

Well best I can come up with for you without too much messing about. Dial-a-phone automatic cashback deal (no redemption) o2 24month 200min 200text £20 per month with tocco lite. £200 cashback (cheque after 28days) and £50 quidco.

So to the maths £20x24=£480-£200-£50=£230=£9.58 a month.

If you want to sell the tocco lite CEX offer £72. That would make it £6.58 a month.

But to be honest if your going to uni I would look at getting a bigger contract as your usage will go up I assure you.
