Simply Electronics - A Warning !!!
I recently ordered a digital camera from the above company, as having done quite a bit of searching, they came out the cheapest. Well after waiting 3 weeks for a 2-8 day despatch, I cancelled it and was assured of a refund within 7 days, 6 weeks later I'm still fighting for it, and am sending all the details to my solicitor. Be warned, never ever use this cowboy outfit, they make all the right noises but do not deliver - literally !!
p.s. Ordered same camera on Amazon and got it next day !!!!

But there should be a big no no against this company.
Hope it gets delivered to you.
£225 at Amazon. how well did you shop around?
Having done some more research looks like company are based in Hong Kong, customer services (when you can actually get through) speak very poor english and email replies are just standard rubbish you don't actually get your questions answered!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EVER HAD!!!!!
It's amazing this company are still being allowed to trade, its almost 18 months since I posted original message and still people on here having problems
some debit cards will provide you the protection you get from a credit card, but its the banks discretion i believe. I'm with Abbey and they helped with a debit card transaction problem i had with Dell.
Definately a scam compnay.

just checked my account & its been refunded. would never use them again.
now after several phone calls to them and even more emails..ive asked for a refund...if i get no joy i will start a paypal dispute....
im so disappointed in their operation and customer services....
plus...once uk customs bills you for duty on your item...they wont be as much as a bargain as you once thought.
3 Months later and i'm am still trying to get back my money from them after cancelling the order.
I have now resorted to more legal offical means and have had to take it to the next level.
Countless emails and phone calls and still they will not give me back my money.
They had no problems taking my money that's for sure. You have been warned !! Do NOT USE this company PERIOD.
I can't say strongly enough what a bad firm they are, they take your money, don't send the goods and avoid credits. Nothing is what they say it is. There is something seriously wrong with this firm, they ask for colour copies of cards, utility bills and passports etc. I wished I had checked them out more before dealing with them. My understanding is that I have protection because I've used a Credit not a Debit card, otherwise I'd fear I would have lost circa £1000. If I could make it my life's work to stop them I would, in fairness I've seen comments that goods do arrive on time etc but the minute I questioned a transaction on the Simply web site everything changed and I'm battling to get my money back

Was going to order an iPad from them ... but I'll think i'll look elsewhere now!

I ordered an video camera that was "in stock", and was promised delivery in days. I noticed that they took the money from my credit card immediately even though the order still showed on their site as processing, and after three weeks waiting I gave up and cancelled the order.
It's now a month later, and there's no sign of a refund.
I have never dealt with such an awful company in my life.
Apprently, the camera I purchased was damaged in delivery; that is why i havn't recieved it in the space of 4 weeks!
I am now currently attempting to recieve a full reimbursement, hopefully without such difficulty.
