I take it your Mac falls under the following Spec:

Mac

* Mac OS X v10.5.7 or later
* Intel Core Duo processor
* 2 GB of RAM
* At least 3.5 GB* of free hard-disk space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
* ATI x1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100

*9.6 GB if installing with The Sims 3

Supported video cards: Nvidia GeForce series: 7300, 7600, 8600, 8800, 9400M, 9600M, GT120, GT 130; ATI Radeon series: x1600, X1900, HD 2400, HD 2600, HD3870, HD 4850, HD 4870.

Please note that this game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems (PowerMac).

If I remember rightly Aspyr ported the game for EA.

Try the above link and check the support pages. Failing that raise a support request. They used to be quite quick with their responses and help

Try This;
Insert the disk and right click on it to open it. A new window should pop up. Right click on Sims3 Installing and Show Content. Copy and paste the contents to the desktop. Open the contents folder on your desktop, go into the MacOS folder and install from there.

Installing from this, fingers crossed, I will let you know :)

Stuck at 6 minutes again, and disk is making a really dodgy noise as though its trying to boot but can't! :(

Sounds like a fault :( fire an e-mail off to Aspyr Support, they will probably suggest what I have already at first so tell them you have tried that.

Can you take it back to where you bought it and get them to swop it?

I bought it from Game, and dont have the receipt anymore, do you think they will replace or not? I've around it around 4months too!

sounds like a typical mac problem, making the simplest of tasks twice as difficult

Contact Aspyr they should honour some form of warranty providing it is a genuine version.

You're kidding me right? Or is that some attempt at an amusing anti mac comment.... how unlike you CW

No way to clone the disc?
Or you can always download it, you have an original cd-key.
#15
Could you rip a disc image to your hard disc and try it from there instead?

I don't get what you mean lol or the burn thing...

I am not that clued up on Mac's but here goes:

You use this piece of software to copy the disc to your Mac: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14414/mactheripper
Then use another piece of software to burn the copy to an empty DVD: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/11427

Now you should have a clone of the original disc oO

Mactheripper clones video DVDs. Have you got any other DVD/CD ripping software like Toast?
If you have try ripping it to a mountable ISO image and then try the install from there.

Have you sent an email to Aspyr support yet?
