Hey,

my girlfriend is thinking about getting a Dell inspiron 15 - she'll use it for everyday tasks but she wants to play Sims 3 - you think it will run ok on this laptop?

Cheers,

Sorry - it's one of the standard ones on the dell web site. 3gb ram, shared graphics and an intel 2ghz CPU

very unlikely.

i work in a currys digital and i had a copy of sims 3 tested on about 16 different laptops. the only ones that would actually play it comfortably were the ones with at least 128mb dedicated GFX like an Nvidia or ATI chip.

i found a couple of intel mobile chips that would work with it but the game either crashed or sufferred very bad speeds during gameplay.

wouldn't even chance it, looks like a lot of ai processes in that game that will have the cpu running full belt, five mins on the sofa and the lappy will melt down lol
