we've had problems from the start with the sky+ box and yesterday it gave up, kept coming on ,freezing then going off and wouldnt turn back on for hours, so i phoned sky last night to see if there was a problem their end, no of course there wasnt , but he ran some sort of test on my box and said there was a software problem with it and it couldnt be fixed, its 2 months out of the warrenttee.
so i had a choice pay £69.00 for the engineer to come and replace the hard drive OR pay nothing and have a brand new sky hd box, free installation AND FREE hd for 12 months, no brainer there then lol. He said that some of the sky+ boxes had know faults on them ( not mine of course) and if the customer had been with them for more then 5 years they would be offering this new deal as a thank you!
I thought it was really good, Hubby has just fixed the sky + box the hard drive in it needed defraging lol didnt even know there was one in there! it works perfectly now so my son is having it in his room lol
so guys if your box is playing up in the slightest get on the phone
