Been ok for me, Better than BT, Faster and genuine unrestricted downloads.
#2
How much do you pay for the package you've got?
#3
Virgin Broadband = Best.
#4
its not as fast as virgin for me but its worth not having the hassle from virgin it never goes off either unlike my virgin

It's been fine with me aswell - no problems being on 24/7 and fast enough

sam knows exchange checker, $ky bb is good but if no LLu in your area, it will be $ky connect which is pish.

£32 a month, TV, Line Rental, Broadband.
#12
Mines over £40 - HD though - I'm hoping to get a better deal when the contract runs out!

if you do go with $ky, you must keep the router switched on for at least 10 days from initial conection for the DLM (not hukd DLM) to run, this will check for errors and the best speed for your line.

Any had problems using peer-to-peer (P2P) with Sky BB? Was considering switching from BT but the T's&C's of Sky BB doesn't seem very attractive compared with BT.

I read on skyuser that it's best to restart your router everyday during this period

Great I'm On DLM , Should I Leave My Router On?

This is probably one of the most important things you as a customer can do. To ensure the DLM process is uninterrupted you must leave your Sky Wireless Router on at all times during the DLM process!

If you disconnect, power cycle or reboot your router the DLM process may class these actions as a disconnection and could the reduce the line speed even more

Must've just been a lone wolf's post I read, going out on his own, laying a different path for others to follow.

could be, i do remember that someone posted in the forums that for 02 (i think) you reset the router everday for the first x days.

that looked like it's for $ky connect and that is just a BT rebrand, $ky's LLU is different.

I have just being reading this thread and i have been connected for 48 hours should i reboot my Sagem [email protected] 2504 ? , advice appreciated

No, you are on Sky's LLU package not Sky Connect and you do not reboot the router during the DLM process, in fact I would strongly advise turning off or re-syncing the router during this time as DLM may see it as a fault and reduce your speed.

Sky is good depending on how far you from the exchange. I'm about 200-300 meters from the exchange and get about 15 meg and they do not throttle me at anytime unlike virgin which went down to 1 meg in the evening. If u are quite far from the exchange I guess u would get around 3-4 meg

Oh while DLM is running u shouldn't not switch of the router at all, otherwise u may get set to a lower speed in the end.

They wanted £17.99 pcm from me even though I live about 3 miles from the exchange. My neighbour has it and her router broke down so they made her buy a new one rathe than replace it. The turnaround was pretty quick though even over christmas and the customer support was pretty good.

£17.99 sounds like you were connect which means that sky dont have their equipment in the exchange, so just a rebranded bt broadband, crap speeds and throttled at peak times
