"Your Service Details

Your Sky Broadband & Speed Estimate

You have Sky Broadband Unlimited which offers a maximum download speed of up to 20Mb

The estimate provided to you at purchase for the maximum download speed your line can support was 10-20Mb."

"Your Connection Details

Download Speed
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
16.6Mb (17024Kb) "

I get an average of 14Mb on Sky Broadband Unlimited (BT Landline) 8)

5Mb should be fine, I am on 50Mb just now which is kinda a waste to be honest as all I do is browse and watch videos on Youtube (which caps your download rate anyway).

When I first connected with Sky (up to 20meg on bt line) I was getting 3meg. After 3 weeks this has now jumped up to 10.5meg. Sky instructions say to leave your router switched on for 15 days to allow them to configure your max speed.
