I hope someone can help me...
I am with SKY for my Broadband, and recently, they have modified their email servers. I knew nothing of this, other than that I can no longer send emails.
Although I am with SKY, I have been using my old NTLWorld account, from within Outlook 2000. SKY have now blocked sending emails from any accounts other than their own.
Fair enough - I'll have to use my SKY email account from now on. Problem is, no matter what I do, I can't set it up to work in Outlook 2000. When I emailed them about this, they said I'd have to consult the help files for how to do this(!)
Can anyone help? I'm getting an error message saying:
"The POP3 server responded with an error. Server response: '200 mx.google.com ESMTP<random number>'. (Account: 'Helen (Sky)', POP3 Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Error number: 0x800ccc90).
I've been onto my SKY email via the internet, and enabled POP Forwarding. I've entered my username with the sky.com at the end, and without... and nothing I do will work...
