nope, you want box for £49 and free install, or free box and £30 install if you can...

Currys in store are offering Sky+ HD for £49 for both new and existing customers, much better deal. Use that as a bargaining point.

and existing?? How does that work? You just start paying a £10 on top of your current package and a one off £49?

When you have cancelled they will offer you SKY HD for £49 to come back so definately not. This looks like the standard offer anyway. Always getting flyers through the post offering 6 months half price etc for Sky+. Looking above though that now seems standard, just shows you how they treat existing customers.

That's absolute nonsense. Looked at it about an hour ago. It's £49 (+£30 set up) for new customers when bought with a HD TV. It's £49 for existing customers (+£60 set up) who buy a HD TV and add a multi-room subscription.

Oh, and for existing customers, due to exceptional demand, there is a 9 week wait.

I hate Sky. How on earth can a setup cost be twice as much for an exisiting customer?

Anyway, with regards to the OP, this deal from 18 months ago, I'm sure people were getting it free, so I'd be gutted to pay £80 now.

I read that towards the end of the month is the best time to haggle with them as they are trying to reach their monthly targets before the month ends.

i think thats a proper rip off, we got sky+ installed on christmas eve as our ariel kept fraggling up, but it was on online offer for new customers, and it was all free, our first month has just come out, plus we got £15 credit on first bill, and are getting £50 worth of marks and spencer vouchers, wish i had known how bad they treat their customers before i signed up :?
dodgy *bleeps* :x
i hope they offer you a better deal, good luck

I have to agree with Publicnme, after looking into this further the deal is only for customers who are buying a hd tv, then its still £60 for existing customers installation! what installation!? I am a current sky+ customer and as far as I am aware the hd box uses the same dish, lnb and cables as the + box therefore what exactly am I paying for? or rather what would I be paying for as I refuse to give them anymore money, it reminds me of the bank advert with the guy that says " thats just the rate we use to Hoyke you in with!!" :whistling:
