The picture quality is great but I personally wouldn't get it yet as there aren't enough channels available in HD to make it cost effective.

:?

Depending on what package you have ............

If you have the movie package, you get 3 HD movie channels.
If you have the sports channels, you get 3 HD sports channels.

If you don't have either then you get for your £10

Sky One HD
Discovery HD
History HD
National Geographic HD
FX HD
Rush HD
2 x Sky Box Office HD

Freebie channels.
BBC HD
Luxe HD

i've got the full package and very very happy with it all

Personally I dont think its worth paying the extra £10 subs.

Whilst I wont argue it does look better, it really is only marginal. I'm often not sure if its HD or SD and that sums it up. In football for instance, its only really when they have close up shots that it makes the difference.....and do you really want a close up of Tevez?

cool just found out that there is a £60 installation fee too. so £210 for hd quality stuff aint too bad plus it has double the storage of sky + (if you record SD stuff) and also i can put my sky+ box upstairs in my room!

Definitely recommend it. I never used to watch the Discovery channel or History channel, but they're always on in our house now - mainly because of the picture quality. The only downside is, that after watching football in HD, it then looks pants when you watch it on ITV or another SD channel.

If you like sports and movies get HD the Football and Tennis have been great over the last month.

To get it cheaper just say i'm thinking of moving to Virgin media and they will bend over backwards to keep you

Deffo worth getting as long as you're happy to pay Sky the extra tenner a month. Otherwise it's just BBC really, though their coverage of the footie and Wimbledon has been fantasic over this last month. :)
