Look up thomson HD. If its not a thomoson can't help you.

If you make me mod sigma i'll fix yours for free. Pysch!

Though seriously its easy if you know how to solder.

Just bought myself an Amstrad DRX890 last week for £30 quid and its crashed twice today...whats going on?
[mod]#9
Okay - its been defaulting back to channel 998 and then goes blue screen with just sound - I was recording a program onto the hard drive at the time. Going into menus like planner etc also seem to cause the same issue. My box is a 3mth old Amstrad 250gb sky+ box - had a search and it seems other people are having some issues today - possibly something to do with an update due out soon ? I missed X-Factor as I was trying to record it (don't judge me ;) ) = Someone else reported similar thing happened at same time:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=44190779

My OH is now watching football and it seems to be okay but no longer recording anything.

* Just reading sky forum ^^ and it appears an update on sky anytime may have caused the issues ? (someone rang sky) - we've used it today to watch a few of the new movies. At least there may be an actual reason for it rather than faulty hardware :)

Turn off Anytime? it wastes electricity as the hard drive is powered up all night recording crap you don't watch.

same problem here :( wonder how long it's going to take for sky to sort this mess out.....

mine switched off again, and was ok after 5 minutes and then off. This went on for about half an hour, but was ok after that, not happy
[mod]#14
Mine started doing that - switching off completely today after a few mins each time it was turned back on. Posted a workaround from Sky to switch off 'Anytime' on the HD boxes on another thread and it seems to be working okay now.

Select "All Issues" then follow instructions to turn off anytime for a workaround (hopefully)

Trying this now as box is now switching off after 2/3mins - thanks to this forum :

You will need to remember to turn Anytime back on once fixed :)
