Hi - Does anyone know how to reconnect a sky hd box? My brother in law is in the process of having some flooring put down and yesterday the fitter came and disconnected the sky hd box so he could lay the floor. He didn't finish the job and won't be back until tomorrow. In the meantime my bro has no sky tv. I said I would reconnect it for him but when I looked at the back I wasnt sure which lead went where. I know there are 2 from the dish, 1 of which allows the recording but Im not sure what goes where. If i get them the wrong way around will i bugger the box up? Any advice would be great as we were hoping to watch the final day of the Open golf this afternoon on the big screen.

Just put them any way i did this last time it does not do any harm at all to the box also bang in the hdmi lead of course.

doesnt matter where they go, they can only fit inthe right spots. as for the 2 aerial feeds, they dont have a specific connection, either or will do

So if im right there should be a standard aerial feed, 2 feeds from the dish and the HDMI lead from the box to the tv? I could actually forget about the aerial and he could just watch sky and not have digital until they come and reconnect it all.

The satellite dish feed cables screw on, either way around will not matter, the HDMI plugs in it's socket.

Don't worry about the aerial lead if you are not sure.

Yeah the two leads from the dish will do it and the hdmi of course. I don't bother with an anologue ariel anymore anyways
