You have to pay the £10 extra a month as well though, not worth it IMO. If it was same price a month I would.

lot more channels out on it recently, check the small print though, it your upgrading like I was it was £120 installation, dunno about now.

theres no doubt that its better picture, especially on sport you also get a much bigger hard drive than you do with regular sky plus.

Depends on the size of your screen and how far away from it you sit. Unless you're close enough for your eyes to resolve the higher definition it makes no difference.

What size hard drive on HD?

I'm also considering it and my main interest would be in the sport.

It's a good price at the moment. Installation is an extra £30 if you're an existing customer or free if you're a new subscriber.

Some decent channels in the HD line up but only worth the extra tenner if you're really going to watch them. I found I was watching them just because they were in HD! I finished my HD sub after 12 months and now I'm happy just to receive BBC HD and Channel 4 HD. I personally find that I watch these channels because there are programmes I want to see and not just because they're in HD.

However, if you have Sky Sports then the footie does look incredible in HD as do the movies on the movie channels.

if you are into sports i couldn't recommend this highly enough, the football looks amazing.

There are more and more channels being added now too and there are already a lot of movie channels and documentary ones, which i watch a lot of.

Well worth the £10 a month imo

I wonder if they would be nice enough to come and install the HD box in a different room, and leave the existing cabling where it is, giving me quad lnb split between two rooms....

Yes they will - to have both boxes on the same subscription will be an extra £10 per month (Multi-Room).

Basically, I want him to come round and fit an extra 2 LNB cables from the dish to the spare room. These will be used for a seperate satelitte system, not SKY. But, I'm not paying £30 for him to come round and swap out my SKY+ box for an HD one

Wait until the installer arrives and then ask him if he'll do it as a hobble. Slip him a few quid and he'll normally be happy to do it for you.
