Hello. Have got a larger tv and sky hd previously worked fine on the previous tv. When turned on it said it was a hdcp problem. Spoke to Sky not particulary useful over the phone but said would send an engineer in a few days. tried turning on and off but now showing no signal
Seems silly that it doesnt work, have searched online and seems it may be to do with the cable. i just want to ring up and get through to someone but its not happening
Any advise gratefully received, pleeeeassse!!!
No tv till sorted , cheers

How are you connecting sky box to tv at minute ? using a dvi to hdmi > ? if so use hdmi to hdmi , also get the latest hdmi version cable 1.3 as indicated in lg manual the TV needs (according to them to stop flickering)

I doubt you are usign dvi to hdmi but had to mention it... anyways try each hdmi port with your exisiting hdmi cable. (the try another hdmi cable)

in your sky box choose 720p but you might as well try @1080i as well

(power off the sky box from wall as well) and do same for tv to start from fresh

connect it up via older method to check firmware version and to update eg scart or composite or svhs and to setup settings

Aha, think this gives the game away. The screen is green because the TV can't see a signal rather than the Sky box failing. I think the Sky box has reverted to Scart output and you are looking at the HDMI channel. If you have a scart cable try plugging the Sky box in with that and pick the scart input on the tv. If you get a picture, you need to go into the Sky menus and change the output back to HDMI.

^^ Know this because I have done it :whistling::whistling:
