Hi I have multi room with sky plus and original box as other. am having engineer out as its not working properly, losing signal every 5mins,. was wondering if worth upgrading old pace box to sky plus hd.
as I dont want their sales people to push me in to anything i was wondering if someone could tell me if i would only have to pay £49 for box, as offer on, or would they make me pay more on the multi room for the sky+ and the hd as multiroom. thanks it all baffles me. maybe there are package tie ins i dont want.
anybody got a good deal off them. am not in cable area by the way so thats not an option.
thanks for any advice.

I have Sky HD and love it. Knowing Sky though, I think you may find that the £49 offer is their way to entice new contracts. If you've had your system for over a year though, do what many people do and say you want to talk to the retention team as you're thinking of cancelling and going to Virgin, I know you've mentioned your not in a cable area, but these people are in either India or Scotland and don't know whats on your individual street!! A little white lie won't hurt anyone.

Insist that to keep your account open, you want HD. You never know, the way they're throwing these boxes at people you may end up with one for free!!

Anything's worth a try. GOOD LUCK!!

It would be £49 for the box, £30 for installation and £9.75/m for the HD subscription

thanks for that. am wiser now

the hd is on top of the sky plus subscription is that right, have engineer coming out to try and fix faulty connections so was wondering if worth upgrading, to the hd, or too expensive for what it is, i take it the sky + and the sky hd, as the multiroom would be dearer too then for the family package on hd and the sky + as multiroom, can anyone enlighten me more. if you get what i am on about.

It'd be:

However much you are paying for the channels (£21.50 for the 6pack or £46 for everything)
+ £9.75 for multiroom
+ £9.75 for HD Pack
